The reel opens and closes the piece with a triumphant version of Star of the County Down in the middle. The mood is up-beat throughout and it would also be appropriate as an opening concert item. Suitable for competent students or amateurs this is an excellent arrangement displaying the wonderful tone of the French horn.

The text is a rough translation from the German by the arranger. This would be a welcome addition to the library with minimal voices. It would also work as a duet.
