Piano Quintet,String Ensemble Cello,Piano,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1115229 By Fiona Alice Hickie. By Fiona Alice Hickie. Arranged by Fiona Alice Hickie. Classical. Score and parts. 14 pages. Fiona Alice Hickie #717039. Published by Fiona Alice Hickie (A0.1115229). A composition for string quartet and piano about the platypus. The platypus is an Australian semi-aquatic animal that spends its time in waterways and its burrow next to the water's edge. It is classified as a monotreme which means it has fur and lays eggs. When the British first took one home to England they thought they must have stuck together a couple of animals, because their look is so unique. A furry animal with a duck like bill, and beaver like tail; how strange! They are known to be a shy animal that can sometimes be spotted at sunset.

Piano Quintet,String Ensemble Cello,Piano,Viola,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.659368 Composed by Aaron Lee. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary. Score and parts. 45 pages. J. Aaron Lee #268442. Published by J. Aaron Lee (A0.659368). This work takes the concept of motivic development and attempts to stretch it to it's limits. Everything evolves out of an initial phrase and quickly transforms into new shapes and forms as the piece continues. Point of Origin is an example of post-tonal triadicism in that it does not adhere to traditional tonal rules and yet makes consistent use of triadic harmonies. The resulting sound is one that is familiar to most listeners and yet still provides unexpected twists and turns. This bundle of score and parts includes a separate part for piano in case the pianist does not wish to play from the full score. For more music from Aaron Lee, you can visit www.musicoflee.com.
