By 1949, versions by Vic Damone, Doris Day, Tommy Dorsey, Gordon Jenkins, Vera Lynn, Art Mooney, and Mel Tormé all made the Billboard charts. This version was developed from the original 1948 sheet music and features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements.
