With this outlook, she cares about only one thing; protecting her family by entering the wilds and taking care of any threats before they even have the chance to become problems.  The Lamented and The Headstrong Sylveon, known colloquially as Silver, learns the difficulties of the world, and that nothing is as straight-forward as it was at her desert temple home. In the second movement, Silver learns the consequences actions have on the world, both good and bad. In the third, her resolve tightens as she doubles down on her ideals. This proves to be a good thing, as her tenacity eventually leads to her liberation. The Free Silvers work has paid off. Through a strong belief in her ideals and a little flexibility in her methods, Silver has Met countless friends, slain countless evils, and saved the brother she never knew she had from an evil that lurked beneath. Now nothing holds her back and Silver has grown to be one of the strongest people in Verdai.

Practice Tips: This piece requires you to be able to comfortably reach an octave. If you aren't quite there yet but still want to play the song, you can ignore the bottom octave notes in the right hand, and the top octave notes in the left hand. Even if you can reach an octave well, beats 1-2 of measure 15 could prove challenging because of the jump to a new hand position. If you're having problems with this, try leaving out the bottom F. You will probably be able to play this song a lot better if you spend time beforehand figuring out which fingerings you want to use for eighth-note passages.

It was rediscovered as a result of the Joplin revival in the 1970s and has received acclaim from Joplin's biographers and other critics. The piece combines two different styles of music, the classical waltz and the rag, and has been seen as demonstrating Joplin's excellence as a classical composer. The work has been described as an enchantingly beautiful piece that is among the greatest of Ragtime Waltzes, a masterpiece, and Joplin's finest waltz.
