The refrain is in Latin, and somewhat reminiscent of parts of Carmina Burana! This was commissioned for a Lessons and Carols Service in a cathedral in my area several years ago. The choral parts are not difficult, however the organ accompaniment is more challenging - not wholly accurate in the recording! Das stimmungsvolle, rund 3-minütige Werk in deutscher Sprache bildet somit den krönenden und feierlichen Abschluss des vorangestellten einstimmigen Hymnus aus dem 9. Jahrhundert. Aber auch als eigenständige Komposition für den festlichen kirchenmusikalischen Rahmen ist dieser Lobpreis Gottes des preisgekrönten Tondichters bestens geeignet.
