These men were prepared for the enemy; these men were prepared for death; these men were prepared to meet The Lord. The names of William Barrett Travis, Davy Crockett, and James Bowie are known by all. But they fought and died alongside 197 other courageous souls – nameless, but honored nonetheless. Some of the nameless souls were of European heritage, some were of Mexican descent, some were Americans. For those daring and deadly days in San Antonio, all were Texians !
