By Elvis Presley. By Leo Robin and Ralph Rainger. Arranged by Dave Gingras, John E. Dosher. Contemporary. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #6518205. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.794126).

Blue Hawaii is a popular song written by Leo Robin and Ralph Rainger for the 1937 Paramount Pictures film Waikiki Wedding. The song subsequently received numerous cover versions, most successfully as the title track of the 1961 Elvis Presley film, the soundtrack of which stayed at #1 on the album chart for twenty consecutive weeks. We patterned this arrangement after the Elvis Presley. We added some root-based chord-blocking and a few left and right-hand fills for interest. It's fun to play and not too hard, we hope you like it!

Love in Bloom is a popular song with music by Ralph Rainger and lyrics by Leo Robin, published in 1934. It was introduced in the film She Loves Me Not by Bing Crosby and Kitty Carlisle. It remained familiar for many years thereafter as the theme song of Jack Benny, played at the opening of his radio and television programs. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We added what we think are some pretty cool left-hand fills that we hope you will like! It's a pretty song and not too hard to play! We hope you like this version!

TYPE JOHN FRIES IN THE SEARCH BAR TO SEE ALL I HAVE TO OFFER. Thanks, John. I Wished on the Moon is a song composed by Ralph Rainger, with lyrics by Dorothy Parker. Bing Crosby sang the song in The Big Broadcast of 1936. Crosby recorded the song on August 14, 1935 with The Dorsey Brothers Orchestra and it reached the charts of the day peaking at No. 2 during a seven-week stay. At the end of the long recording session, Crosby decided to sing only a single chorus of the song in the middle of an orchestral version instead of the full ballad treatment used in the film. This led to a long argument between the singer and producer Jack Kapp. Eventually Crosby prevailed. Crosby recorded the song again in 1954 for his album Bing: A Musical Autobiography.
