Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1315857 Composed by Paul Dukas. Arranged by Zellev. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Halloween,Patriotic. Score. 24 pages. Zellev Music #904634. Published by Zellev Music (A0.1315857). Composer bio:Paul Abraham Dukas ( 1 October 1865 – 17 May 1935) was a French composer, critic, scholar and teacher. A studious man of retiring personality, he was intensely self-critical, having abandoned and destroyed many of his compositions. His best-known work is the orchestral piece The Sorcerer's Apprentice (L'apprenti sorcier), the fame of which has eclipsed that of his other surviving works. Among these are the opera Ariane et Barbe-bleue, his Symphony in C and Piano Sonata in E-flat minor, the Variations, Interlude and Finale on a Theme by Rameau (for solo piano), and a ballet, La Péri.In the first decade of the 20th century, following the immense success of his orchestral work The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Dukas completed two complex and technically demanding large-scale works for solo piano: the Piano Sonata, dedicated to Saint-Saëns, and Variations, Interlude and Finale on a Theme by Rameau (1902). In Dukas's piano works critics have discerned the influence of Beethoven, or, Beethoven as he was interpreted to the French mind by César Franck. Both works were premiered by Édouard Risler, a celebrated pianist of the era.In an analysis of the work in The Musical Quarterly in 1928, the critic Irving Schwerké wrote:The Sonata is classical in structure and in four movements, connected more by mutual formal perfection and nobility of thought than by cyclic procedures. The first movement … is built on two sharply contrasted themes, developed according to the sonata-form.[quoted from Bartje Bartmans from YT @bartjebartmans].

Choral 2-Part Chorus,Choir,Choral - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1465943 Composed by Samantha Jellett. 21st Century,Children,Christian,Easter,Lent. 53 pages. Samantha Jellett #1044539. Published by Samantha Jellett (A0.1465943). A Time to Rejoice! is a dramatic and poignant cantata for children and organ (piano version also available) in which performers and audience embark on an exciting journey through time to witness the events of the first Easter.  The time machine is somewhat unreliable, adding humour to the story, and stops are made in the Garden of Eden and Bethlehem before arriving in Jerusalem for Palm Sunday and the events of the crucifixion.  It is suitable for performance by schools and children's choirs, suggested age range 8-13 years.  The optional second parts greatly enhance the cantata and can be sung by a group of children or even an adult choir.Whilst not a staged production, there is plenty of scope for acting in the roles of the Captains, and props such as tea lights for the opening procession, pilots' hats for the Captains and palm branches for the song The King is Coming.A Time to Rejoice! was premiered by St. Joseph's in the Park School, Hertingfordbury, on 17 March 2023.  here are some comments from staff/parents:'A Time to Rejoice! was amazing! At least 5 parents thought it was the best production St Joes has ever put on' Deputy Head'An absolutely amazing evening!  Such beautiful music so beautifully performed.  What an absolute joy from start to finish' Parent'It was a pleasure to involved in what was a resounding success and moving account of the Easter story' Organist'We enjoyed it so much and it was a real triumph.  The children were so good and buzzing!' Parent'It was worthy of a West End production.  Absolutely amazing!' Parent'What a wonderful cantata!  I was so impressed, what a lovely evening' Staff member'I thoroughly enjoyed the Easter cantata: your compositions were beautiful and dramatic in equal measure' Bursar.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1354845 Composed by Toby Fox. Arranged by Fernando Ramos. 21st Century,Children,Pop,Video Game. Score. 5 pages. Fernando Ramos #939548. Published by Fernando Ramos (A0.1354845). Other Arrangements Available: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/category/arrangeme/426/fernando-ramos/?isPLP=1I make piano solo arrangements for my students of songs that they love! My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music and, most importantly, that it also makes pianistic sense. Each of my arrangements is made for a specific student, so the results will vary in terms of playing level. Most decisions are based on their current skills and abilities, or where I would like for them to be when they complete the piece. This arrangement was made for an early intermediate student currently working on Federation class Elementary 4. It has a lot of tricky moments, but remembering to keep RH 4 constantly returning to the G# will help solve a lot of issues. This arrangement is a little different than others of the same song. My student really enjoyed playing the little improv section so it was worth it. This is a great piece to experiment with the pedal, which should be used lightly and mostly for color until the dolce section.Pedaling and fingering suggestions are included.

Guitar - Advanced - Digital Download SKU: ZZ.DZ-4287 Composed by Francisco Braga. Arranged by Luciano Lima. Score. 13 pages. Les Productions d'OZ - Digital #DZ 4287. Published by Les Productions d'OZ - Digital (ZZ.DZ-4287). ISBN 9782898522048.Antônio Francisco Braga (1868-1945) belongs to the generation of Brazilian composers of the first republican period, aesthetically tied to romanticism, alongside Henrique Oswald (1852-1931), Leopoldo Miguez (1850-1902), Glauco Velásquez (1884-1914), and Barrozo Neto (1881-1941). Born in Rio de Janeiro, on April 15th, 1868, he began his musical studies at the Asilo dos Meninos Desvalidos, in 1876. In 1883, he enrolled at the Imperial Conservatório de Música where he studied harmony and counterpoint with Carlos de Mesquita – a former student of César Franck, Durand, and Massenet – and clarinet with Antônio Luís de Moura. Braga's first compositions date from this period: Sonho de Dante (1885), Dolce far niente (1886), the first Valse Romantique for piano (1886), among others. In 1887, he premiered his first symphonic work, Fantasia-Abertura. In 1890, being one of the finalists in a competition to choose the new Brazilian national anthem, Braga was awarded a scholarship to study in Europe, where he took classes with Jules Massenet at the Paris Conservatory. During this period, he wrote some of his most important symphonic works, Paysage, Cauchemar, Episódio Sinfônico, and Marabá (which was performed by Richard Strauss and the Vienna Philharmonic in 1920, in Brazil). His opera Jupyra is considered one of the greatest Brazilian compositions of that genre.Back in Brazil, he was appointed professor of counterpoint, fugue, and composition at the Instituto Nacional de Música, in 1902. There, some of the finest Brazilian composers studied with him, like Glauco Velásquez and Lorenzo Fernândez.Braga wrote operas, symphonic works, songs, sacred music, two Masses, music for piano, different chamber formations, band, and choir. He is the author of many patriotic hymns, the most popular of which is Hino à Bandeira (with lyrics by Olavo Bilac). He explored Brazilian nationalist elements in some of his works, as in Variações sobre um Tema Brasileiro and in the Trio for violin, cello and piano, whose third movement is based on a lundu (a musical genre and dance of Afro-Brazilian origin). In addition to being a composer, Braga was one of the most active conductors of his time, having been ahead of three orchestras in Rio de Janeiro: Instituto Nacional de Música, Sociedade de Concertos Sinfônicos, and Theatro Municipal. Braga conducted the Brazilian premiere of major symphonic works such as La Mer (Debussy), Pacific 231 (Honegger) besides other numerous Brazilian compositions. In 1938, he retired from Instituto Nacional de Música. He passed away on March 14th, 1945, in Rio de Janeiro.Unfortunately, Francisco Braga never wrote for the guitar. However, over a century ago his music had already been incorporated to its repertoire. According to information found in newspapers of the time, Spanish guitarist Josefina Robledo included transcriptions of pieces by Braga in her programs when she performed in Brazil: Gavota e Minuete (from the melodrama Contratador de Diamantes), in 1919, in São Paulo, and the waltz-caprice Corrupio, in 1921, in Rio de Janeiro. The piano score of Madrigal Pavane was dedicated to Alexina Leitão and published by Casa Vieira Machado, in 1901. According to the composer’s catalogue, there are two other versions of this piece: strings orchestra (1901) and quartet (which is still in manuscript). Dedicated to Braga’s childhood friend José de Souza Rocha, Timburibá (the name of a Brazilian tree) is a tango for piano from 1886, published by Narciso & Arthur Napoleão.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1042119 By OneRepublic. By Bjorn Yttling, Brent Kutzle, John Eriksson, Peter Moren, Ryan Tedder, and Tyler Spry. Arranged by Barry McCormick. Film/TV,Pop. Score. 8 pages. B. McCormick #646917. Published by B. McCormick (A0.1042119). About this Piano/Vocal/Guitar arrangement of “I Ain’t Worried†This One Republic hit from the sound track of “Top Gun:Maverik†is a catchy tune to learn. This piano, guitar and vocal arrangement will help you learn the song “I Aint Worried.†The key is in F major and included is the lead sheet so this can be given to another instrumentalist or singer to perform along. The distinct features in the song, the bass and the hook I have kept close to the recording on the track. I have done some slight adjustments for the piano accompaniment to break up and differentiate the different sections otherwise it would be very repetitive. It is a very simple song in essence, a four chord riff and rhythmic motif that breaks for the bridge section. The rhythm isn’t the simplest for the bass part that permeates the song however it is repetitive which means once that is learned you have practically mastered the whole song. There is a lot of back and forward in the music to the chorus which jumps to different parts. I have tried to simplify this by using boxed text to identify each section clearly and indicate when you should jump to each section. Using first, second and third time bars with D.S and coda markings cluttered the music up and made it seem more complicated. So I hope this editorial decision to use boxed text makes it clearer. If you like this arrangement a also have some other arrangements of Christian worship songs and Hymns from Lead sheets to classical guitar arrangements you may also like to check out. Cello and piano - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q52946 For piano and violoncello. Composed by Richard Strauss. This edition: score and part. Complete edition - piano - score - violoncello. Downloadable, Score and part. Duration 26 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q52946. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q52946). Key: F major. The Cello Sonata Op. 6 was composed over an apparently frequently interrupted period of three years, an extraordinarily long time for Strauss’s early creative phase. The compositional process spawned two independent versions of the work, the first of which is published for the first time on the basis of the text in the Critical Edition of the Works of Richard Strauss in the current edition as a practical musical text. The genesis of the two versions and the reasons for revision can only be reconstructed in part: only one of the surviving autographs bears a date and the second version only survives in printed form. What is more, Strauss did not communicate in greater detail on this composition in correspondence with his family and friends. There are enormous differences between the two versions of the Sonata: Strauss deleted the entire second and third movements Larghetto and Allegro vivace, replacing them with a newly composed Andante and Finale. In the first movement, Allegro con brio, Strauss retained the thematic-motivic material and compositionally complex passages such as the three-voice fugue in the development section (from bar 241 in the first version and bar 275 in the second version) almost intact in the new version of the sonata, but also undertook extensive alterations, particularly in the structure of the piano part, the motivic-thematic development of the movement and its harmony which became far more ambitious.12 Particular attention should be drawn to the repetitive accompaniment of the con espressione theme beginning in bar 32 and the significantly shorter development in the first version. The current printed edition of the first version of Richard Strauss’s Cello Sonata now makes it possible to follow Strauss’s compositional development during this period. The significance of the differences between the versions also mean that two sonata compositions for violoncello and piano by Richard Strauss with fundamental disparities in their underlying character are now available for performance. (from the foreword by the editors).

Colores de un otoño incipiente -- Colors of an incipient autumn seven somewhat abstract pieces for piano Recording of Colores de un otoño incipiente - piano in several platforms Colores de un otoño incipiente -- on Spotify In this work, an idea that has haunted me for a long time crystallizes: that the titles of the individual pieces are read like lines of a poem. Colors of an incipient autumn The day declines. Coppery with old leaves, the earth awaits. Innocence Parched by the long vigils. Frugal in the face of excess, He resigned himself to the unfinished And he left a hole of light in this nothingness. Such a poem alludes without great subtlety to decadence and aging. The title Apergaminada por las largas vigilias is taken from a poem by Pedro Lastra. Y dejó un hueco de luz en esta nada comes from a micropoem attributed to Alejandro Güerri, written in memory of Javier Adúriz. This seventh piece, transparent and delicate, pictures a being definitively transformed into light. The idea of desmesura (excess) arises from the prologue by Javier Adúriz to his book Solos de conciencia (1985): Faced with the excess of death, consciousness perceives the weakness of its willful affirmation, the one for which it feels itself unique and safe from all decrepitude. Adúriz was one of the fundamental figures in my artistic training. And apparently he still is. Musically, this cycle of works abounds in harmony of chords by fourths in a minimalist neoclassical aesthetic. The way of working texturally with the piano as an instrument - my instrument - highlights the pedal, the resonances, the third dimension of sound. These seven somewhat abstract pieces were composed at the end of 2019 in and around Bremen, in several cases with my new-born daughter Laura in my arms, trying to put her at to sleep and staying asleep. This explains the cautious nature of the music and its prudent dynamics that never reach a mezzoforte. There were several unsuccessful attempts to release this recording (initially planned for September 2020, at the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere). Finally, the album will be released (on Spotify and other streaming platforms) on 22 April 2022, coinciding with what would be my father's 103rd birthday. It is also autumn but in the southern hemisphere. Recorded on a Steinway B grand piano (serial number: 568208) at the Musikschule Bremen (Germany) with two Neumann KM-184 microphones. Recording and mastering technician: Alexander Derben. For the artwork, the impressive photographer and visual storyteller Leon Drago, from London, has kindly authorised the use of his photograph Pathway, The Garden House and Pergola, Hampstead Heath extension, London. Woodwind Ensemble Double Reed Quartet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1397731 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Lydia Consilvio. Baroque,Classical,Contemporary. 64 pages. Songburd Music #981022. Published by Songburd Music (A0.1397731). Dr. Lydia Consilvio’s arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s keyboard Partita No. 3 in A Minor (BWV 827) presents a fresh expression of Bach’s keyboard suite, giving listeners a new way to hear and appreciate this delightful work. Drawing upon the Bach-Gesellschaft edition, Consilvio’s reimagination for two oboes, English horn, and bassoon stays true to the original keyboard score and thoughtfully contributes to the double reed repertoire.  This adaptation for small wind ensemble naturally creates complementary and flexible dynamics that allow sonorities to emerge in a manner not possible on the harpsichord or piano—enhancing the phrasing and coloristic possibilities inherent in the music. Consilvio’s distribution of melodic material clearly highlights Bach’s use of voices (usually two or three within a single line) through a conversational woodwind dialogue. Notably, Bach’s keyboard Partita No. 3 is comprised of movements based on Renaissance dance forms— allemande, corrente, sarabande, and gigue—each influenced by the step-pattern of that specific dance.  These Renaissance dances were typically accompanied by families of like instruments in small ensembles called “consorts;†fittingly, the instrumentation of this arrangement captures both the original medium for the dance sets, and the Baroque taste and style of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Its relatively flat topography and high elevation lead to intense winds and unpredictable storms bestowing the plateau's colorful moniker. Contrary to the title, the music reflects a compilation of impressions from multiple visits over a decade’s time, gathered with my son’s first-hand reports of overnight stays, rather than a single day’s experience. My original objective for the music was to portray the stark and stony landscape alternatively caressed and buffeted in a stew of breezes and gales, sunshine and storms. However, as I was writing the piece it became apparent the true theme of the music is rather a daily high-altitude drama pitting light versus darkness, a drama staged on the plateau’s rocks, meadows, streams, and lakes depicting a perpetually shifting kaleidoscope of distinctive lighting unlike any I have experienced elsewhere. The transparent, thin air reveals indigo blue skies and scalding-white clouds overarching stunning vistas stretching a hundred miles or more. The landscape glitters under the radiance of high latitude sunlight. The only word I can think of to describe the golden glow of sunbeams slicing through a summer snow squall is ethereal. The utter absence of artificial light makes for the darkest night skies and brightest stars one can experience on earth.
