Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Viola - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.531743 Composed by C. Johnson. Arranged by Klas Krantz. 20th Century,Concert,Ragtime. Score and parts. 6 pages. Amadeus Music #12639. Published by Amadeus Music (A0.531743). Charles L. Johnson (1875 - 1937) was born in Kansas City, Kansas and stayed in the Kansas City area his entire life. Dill Pickles Rag was so-named when Johnson was working at Carl Hoffman Music Company. Apparently, while composing the piece, the company's bookkeeper asked Johnson what the piece was called; the bookkeeper was carrying a carton of pickles for his dinner, which prompted to Johnson to say I'll call it Dill Pickles Rag.

Instrumental Duet Clarinet,Flute,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.956620 Composed by Traditional Irish. Arranged by Catriona Melville-Mason. Celtic,Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 5 pages. C Melville-Mason #6481193. Published by C Melville-Mason (A0.956620). This melody is described as traditional, as it is essentially an old Irish air.  The lyrics of The Minstrel Boy were set to the tune by Thomas Moore (1779 – 1852), apparently in memory of friends who lost their lives in the Irish Rebellion of 1798. The tune is frequently performed in remembrance contexts, particularly those involving persons of Irish ancestry.  In the UK, it is played annually at the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in London.  The Minstrel Boy also featured during the procession to Westminster Abbey at the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in April 2002, reflecting her long association with the men of the Irish Regiment.  In the USA, police and fire departments historically included a high proportion of Irish-Americans, so it became traditional for The Minstrel Boy to be performed at the funerals of service members killed in the line of duty.

Cello Duet Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1094859 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical,Comedy. Score. 5 pages. RayThompsonMusic #698926. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1094859). Translated as (Duet with Two Obligato Eyeglasses) or k/a The Obligato/Eyeglass Duo. Originally written for viola and cello, I have arranged the 2nd mvt, the minuetto and trio, for a cello duet. This duet for viola and cello from 1796-1797 is believed to have been written for Beethoven's longtime frind, Baron Nikolaus Zmeskall. The Baron was an accomplished cellist, and Beethoven had played the viola back in Bonn. Both men wore spectacles at times, which is believed to be the genesis of the curious name. Apparently Beethoven wrote Zmeskall a letter containing these lines: Dearest Baron Garbage-truck driver, I am obliged to you for the weakness of your eyes. Perhaps Zmeskall lent Beethven his eyeglasses. Who knows? One thing is certain: the piece exudes a sense of sheer playfulness, similar in spirit (if not style) to Mozart's Duo for Violin and Viola in B-Flat.

Choral Choir (TB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1281812 Composed by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP). 21st Century,Celtic,Classical,Historic,Irish,Patriotic. Octavo. 20 pages. Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) #873161. Published by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) (A0.1281812). Boy at Sea (2023) for TB choir and piano is great for community choruses looking for something fun, easy, and interesting for lower voices! TB and pianoText: excerpts from a 1915 letter by Robert Inglis to the Commissioner of PensionsDuration about 5 minutesDifficulty 2 (Advanced high school, collegiate or community chorus) Language: EnglishSheet music is available for purchase soon.Performances:8 Aug 2023 Inversion Coda performed Boy at Sea at Spider House Ballroom Austin, Texas (world premiere)Commissioned by Inversion Ensemble for Coda’s Tales of the Sea concert in August 2023, Boy at Sea by Adrienne Inglis for tenor and bass chorus with piano recounts the sea-faring adventures of the composer’s great-grandfather as a boy. The text comes from a letter that Robert Inglis wrote in 1915 to the Commissioner of Pensions asking for a raise in his civil war pension. In providing information apparently requested by the Pension office, Robert details many events in his early years, adding a fair bit of sarcasm and wit to the narrative. The composer edited the content to fit into more of a strophic sea-shanty style. The piano part offers a sense of ocean waves as well as a few popular tunes of the day as commentary on the story. When he and his sister were in boarding school in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, he witnessed a historic yacht race. The following year, they sailed across the Atlantic with the family of their father’s third wife. Life with his stepmother must have been unbearable, because he “went to sea†time after time to escape the unpleasantness she brought to bear. The final departure left him shipwrecked on Hatteras with drunken shipmates. He made his way to Maryland where, to his horror, he witnessed a slave auction. Sensing the tension and possibly inspired to action, he headed west to join the 20th Indiana Infantry. He later served in the 51st Pennsylvania, the Provost Guard, and the U. S. Navy. He fell off of a train in 1863, leaving him injured and in pain for the rest of his life.https://adrienneinglis.com/.

String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1420939 Composed by Healey Willan. Arranged by Derrick Thom. Lewis. Classical. 12 pages. Derrick Thom. Lewis #995127. Published by Derrick Thom. Lewis (A0.1420939). Healy WILLAN Chaconne 1956 (from Rondino,Elegy & Chaconne, for Organ)Composer of over 800 works and teacher for over 50 years, Mr.Willan was known for long as the Dean of Canadian Composers and was a fixture of the Toronto music scene for a very long while. Apparently he wrote Operas and Symphonies as well, but these have not been easily available to experience. Perhaps this is just Canadian natural reticence or 'reserve'. However, it's a characteristic that is not conducive to cultivating popularity. Nevertheless, Willan's music is simply lovely, and it's nice to know that, if you 'cotton on' to it, you will probably never exhaust his supply, at least to play.

Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.799612 Composed by Richard Strauss. Arranged by Nicole Elyse DiPaolo. 20th Century,Romantic Period. 6 pages. Nicole Elyse DiPaolo #5022023. Published by Nicole Elyse DiPaolo (A0.799612). The first of its kind, and the third entry in Nicole Elyse DiPaolo's Accessible Accompaniments series of aria reductions, this is a genuinely playable and piano/vocal reduction of Wie Du warst, Octavian's famous aria from Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier (1911). Mezzos who love this aria no longer need to fear bringing it in for auditions, last-minute performing engagements, or other situations in which the pianist may have to sight-read from the chaotic and unplayable vocal score. Pianists may now enjoy playing this aria comfortably, without risking strain/injury. This edition also includes a two-measure recomposed ending four measures after rehearsal 25, making this edition a great choice for concert and audition situations in which another singer isn't available to sing the Marschallin's lines. All Accessible Accompaniments, including this one, boast several unique features:1. No reduction ever requires stretches of over an octave, not including bass notes meant to be held or fudged with the pedal (though octaves may also contain chord tones within them). This reduces the amount of rearranging that smaller-handed pianists must already do. Obviously, further reworkings are to be expected and pianists should feel free to add to or modify what I’ve provided.2. I’ve included less essential, but potentially desirable additional voices/passages in cue-size noteheads so that pianists can easily see them, but know that they are not necessary in a sink or swim accompanying situation. Presenting less essential material in cue-size noteheads also reduces visual clutter on the page.3. In addition to the composer’s markings, when needed, I have included hints on particular notes to bring out when the singer is likely to need them as a pitch anchor or when it is not obvious which line should be brought out within the texture.4. All page turns have been carefully selected so as to result in the least possible disruption to the pianist when possible. When an inevitable page turn precedes a potentially surprising note or chord, I’ve included the next downbeat’s notes in cue-size stemless noteheads at the end of the preceding measure.5. When known, I’ve noted alternate cuts that singers might like to take within certain arias.6. In some cases I’ve modernized spelling conventions for easier readability (for example, by replacing ß with ss in German arias) and occasionally I've enharmonically respelled brief passages for greater clarity.About the Arranger: Praised as a sensitive pianist and outstanding accompanist who delivers powerful interpretations, Nicole Elyse DiPaolo enjoys a multifaceted career as a sought-after collaborative pianist, educational composer, arranger, coach, private teacher, and adjunct music professor.
