Instrumental Duet Alto Saxophone,Instrumental Duet,Trumpet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.589382 By John Denver. By Mel Torme and Robert Wells. Arranged by David McKeown. Christmas,Holiday,Jazz. Score and parts. 3 pages. David McKeown #6065215. Published by David McKeown (A0.589382). The Christmas Song is better known to many by its first line Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire. The song was written on a hot summer day in 1945 by Mel Torme and Bob Wells who were trying to cool down by composing a wintry lyric. It was first recorded by Nat King Cole the following year and was an instant hit. Nat King Cole revisited the song several times in his career and it has also been recorded by just about every noteworthy popular artist since, from Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Peggy Lee, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Paul McCartney to The Jacksons, and many more. This version is arranged as a duet for one Trumpet and one Alto Saxophone. Musicians at an intermediate standard will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performances, with both parts enjoying melodic interest. Total performance time is around four minutes. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to approach expressive playing. Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.954961 Composed by Jim Bosse. Concert,Contemporary,World. Score and parts. 21 pages. Jim Bosse #4576139. Published by Jim Bosse (A0.954961). This is the final movement from Suite Grandkids which contains six pieces originally scored for classical guitar trio, one for each of the grandkids that I had at that time (2005). I decided to write lyrics for each movement, creating this version for voice (male and/or female) and classical guitar. This download contains score and all parts. The picture of my grandkids looks like a poster for cultural diversity. Their varied genetic backgrounds presented an opportunity to compose an eclectic suite with each piece presenting a style representative of their unique genetic heritage. Performance time for the entire suite is 23 minutes but each piece could stand alone on a concert program. Soren's Jig  was written in Scottish style, highlighting his genetic heritage. As the finale of the suite, each grandkid is revisited in round form. Performance time is 4 minutes and 21 seconds. Demand level is mostly intermediate with a few advanced sections. Flute, Instruments - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: H1.1887DP Composed by Cynthia Dobrinski. General Worship. Flute Part. 2 pages. Hope Publishing - Digital #1887DP. Published by Hope Publishing - Digital (H1.1887DP). An original composition In this commission for the Virginia Highlands Festival in 1996, Ms. Dobrinski presents four tunes: Abingdon (A Grateful Heart), Mountain Mist (Meditation), Strolling the Barter Green (A Joyful Heart) and Abingdon Revisited. The second title of each tune is a suggestion for use in worship. Each piece is arranged with different texture and techniques. Especially interesting is the use of LV and mallets on suspended bells in Mountain Mist; one cannot almost feel and see the fog on an early morning in the mountains.
