The musical imagery expressed in this tone poem is largely inspired by the Acadian forest, Fundy National Park and other geographical features of Atlantic Canada. This tone poem is split into two movements: Sunrise and Sunset. “Horizons aims to reveal what a sunrise and a sunset on the horizon would sound like in Atlantic Canada. In essence “Horizons� aims to create that picture in the listener mind through music. Horizons is a tone poem that seeks to encapsulate the breathtaking nature found in Atlantic Canada. Drawing its inspiration from the lush Acadian forest,  majestic Fundy National Park, and the diverse geographical landscapes that define Atlantic Canada, this piece vividly translates the essence of these natural wonders into sound. The composition is divided into two movements, Sunrise and Sunset, each crafted to convey the unique ambiance and colors of the Atlantic horizon at these times of the day.In Horizons, orchestral textures are pivotal in painting the auditory landscape. The intricate layering of instrumental timbres and dynamics is akin to the interplay of light and shadow across the landscape. The delicate whispers of the woodwinds evoke the gentle rustle of leaves in the Acadian forest at dawn, while the bold, resonant brass mirrors the dramatic hues that streak the sky at dusk. Strings weave throughout, like the constant ebb and flow of the tides at Fundy Bay. Through Horizons, listeners are invited to embark on an auditory journey that mirrors the experience of witnessing a sunrise and sunset on the Atlantic horizon. The orchestral textures serve as dynamic and integral components of the narrative, bringing to life the serene beauty and the vibrant tapestry of Atlantic Canada's natural landscapes through music.

This percussion ensemble arrangement of Boney M's hit song Rasputin is designed to be performed by intermediate percussion players. Rasputin was written and produced by Boney M back in the 1970's. The song reached number 1 in the charts in Germany, Australia, Austria and Belgium. The tune is passed around different instruments within the ensemble, giving each player their time in the spotlight. The ensemble dies down to reveal a delicate and soft orcestral section, played by the vibraphones and glockenspiels. This arrangment cleverly mixes the original Boney M beginning, and accellerates into Majestic's fabulous dance cover that was released in 2022. A superb arrangement to get your audience dancing and singing along!

That is the reason he had two names, Lasso (Italian) and Lassus (German). I played with this fact and explored the possibilities of solfege ‘La-sol’. Lasso's bicinia is paraphrased several times in the piece. There is a timbral cannon toward the end where second cello strictly follows the viola's gesture. It is then dissolved to an improvisatory coda to once again reveal the very theme La-Sol.

The composer's main aim when composing this suite was to link the historic roots of the suite with current trends, movements and shapes. Walking time deliberately contains obvious musical associations with Bach's work and therefore borrows passages from it. The suite is an excellent opportunity for any flute ensemble to reveal new facets within the framework of a contemporary, individual interpretation.

And it's all yours for less than 8 and a half US dollars!This movement also features a xylophone part, to truly capture the essence of fossilised bones. The newly revised version was presented by the Simon Carrington Chamber Singers in June 2011. A Song of Joys is Walt Whitman's vast description of all of life’s—and death’s— joys, ranging from nature, love, and nostalgia, to more specific things like being a farmer, a soldier, mother, and reminiscing of catching lobsters by boiling them until they turn red. All of these ingredients—and many more—contribute to Whitman’s jubilant song. Selected passages from his lengthy poem have been set here for SATB divisi unaccompanied chorus.
