Clarinet Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.953438

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Pop. 6 pages. RayThompsonMusic #559177. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.953438).

Arranged standard clarinet trio.
3rd part cold be played by bass clarinet to give more depth to the music.

Eleanor Rigby is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1966 album Revolver.
It was also issued on a double A-side single, paired with Yellow Submarine.

The song was written primarily by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney.

The song continued the transformation of the Beatles from a mainly rock and roll- and pop-oriented act to a more experimental, studio-based band.

With a double string quartet arrangement by George Martin and lyrics providing a narrative on loneliness, Eleanor Rigby broke sharply with popular music conventions, both musically and lyrically.

Richie Unterberger of AllMusic cites the band's singing about the neglected concerns and fates of the elderly on the song as just one example of why the Beatles' appeal reached so far beyond the traditional rock audience.

YouTube Link is clt quintet version.

SKU: A0.584210

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Rock. Score. 7 pages. Jeff Tincher #5320521. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.584210).

Here is another classical piece from The Beatles reminiscent of Yesterday. From their Revolver project, this song introduced the F (French) Horn to a new generation. The story is about a marriage breaking up from the husband's point of view. This is not in the original key, because the original key was a little advanced. This is in an easier key because this song is way too good not to be played. Duration = 2:03. SKU: A0.588113

By David Cook. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. Score. 5 pages. David McKeown #5303261. Published by David McKeown (A0.588113).

Eleanor Rigby first appeared on the Beatles’ 1966 album, Revolver. There has been much speculation over the identity of Eleanor Rigby, and a gravestone bearing that name has been discovered close to where Paul McCartney grew up in Liverpool. But Paul McCartney insists that he chose the natural-sounding name as a combination of a friend’s name and a shop he noticed in Bristol. Indeed, the original working title of the song was Miss Daisy Hawkins.

This version of Eleanor Rigby is arranged as a duet for two Oboes. The YouTube sample above is the Clarinet version of this duet.

Musicians at an ï»¿intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes.

Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills and expressive playing.
