I wrote this song in December 1996 while traveling on the job for my work. I was missing my family very much during this special season and I realized that this Christmas season was an important time to tell them how much I love them and miss them. I also felt it is an important time to thank the good Lord for all loved ones he put into my life and for all the ways He continually shows His love for us through others, e.g. kindness, good acts, etc. This sat on a shelf for many years until one of our music directors here in Mesa, AZ (a former New York State President of the ACDA) saw it and encouraged me to try to get it published. The song was performed during Christmas 2017 by the Children's Choir at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Burnsville, MN. It was also performed here in Mesa, AZ by a 20 person Soprano and Alto Choir. I received very good feedback from both performances. Although I was thinking of the song as a Children's Choir piece, I think it lends itself well in both situations above. The Children's Choir director at St. George Catholic Church in Apache Junction, AZ asked for a copy and permission to make copies for possible use during a future Christmas; I gave them permission to do that.

I wrote this song during the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time it was very easy to get down in the dumps and focus on all the negative aspects of the pandemic. My purpose for writing this was to encourage us to focus more positively on all the blessings God has given us. No matter how hopeless things seem, God loves us unconditionally and will always be with us. I wrote this for a Men's chorus that I direct but I believe it would work well for an SATB or Children's choir too.

I wrote this music for a two-part men's chorus (tenor/base) that I direct. It is a smaller group of men who love to sing but not all can read music. I tried to make it interesting by alternating the melody and harmony between the two-parts. I believe this arrangement would also work well for a children's choir.

I wrote this arrangement for a full SATB Chorus. I wrote the harmony parts and the piano portion. The three verses are sung in 4-part harmony in the original 3/4 time and then I repeated the first verse in 4/4 time which allows for an echo in the harmony part. This makes the song a little more complex at the transition from 3/4 to 4/4 but also makes it very interesting.

I wrote this arrangement for a Men's Chorus that I direct. I don't have any high first tenors in the chorus, so I wrote one tenor part along with the baritone and bass. I believe it would lend itself well for a mixed chorus too with the women on the tenor part and the men on the baritone/bass line. I tried to make it fun to sing by having some parts echo others in the harmonies.
