Violin Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.966341 Composed by Martin Bonk. Contemporary,Jazz,World. 2 pages. Martin Bonk #2858375. Published by Martin Bonk (A0.966341). The Elf Suite is a piece for solo violin and consists of a March, Dance, Polka, and Waltz and chronicles what I believe to be the events on the day of an Elvian Ball. The March allows some improvisation in the beginning using ricochet and glissando harmonics to  imitate the snoring sounds of the elves  and also at the end there is improv as the march devolves into chaos. The music incorporates odd meters and scales. The Dance of the Elves  was written for and premiered by Eva Ingolf in 2015 at The Composers' Forum in New York and was the first piece written of the suite and he entire Suite was premiered in Sao Paolo Brazil in 2016 by Stephanie Stasiu Bonk.  The entire suite's performance takes about 11 minutes with individual dances 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes in length.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1401695 Composed by Robert A. Howard. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Instructional. Score. 31 pages. Robert A. Howard #984878. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.1401695). This First Piano Sonata is in three movements. The work is subtitled 'Bells', as each movement explores a different aspect of ringing bell-tones, whilst avoiding any direct reference to, for example, the change-ringing of church bells, or otherwise. The first movement (Chimes) suggests aspects of sonata form, with a ricochet-rhythm first theme based on fifths, and a lyrical second subject. In the ternary form second movement (Requiescat), funereal bells toll and peal in cycles of textural thickening and thinning. The final movement is a relentless perpetual movement of parallel chords and hemiolas, passing through a giant circle of fifths, in the vague manner of a carillon.Duration: 24 minutes.Registered with PRS (Performing Rights Society, UK).Composer's website: www.roberthowardmusic.co.uk.

With the purchase, you will receive a 10x17 tabloid full score (6 pages), letter size score (6 pages), violin I part (4 pages), violin 2 part (3 pages), viola part (3 pages), and cello part (3 pages). Total is 23 pages and the approx. run time of the piece is 2min 45seconds to 3minutes. About the arrangement: The arrangement is primarily written in 6/8, but features some metric modulation (going from dotted quarter 63 to quarter note 126bpm for example). This gives the piece a dramatic sense of escalation as it reaches the final passage. Each player will have his or her time to shine in the arrangement. Also, various playing techniques are used such as ricochet (on open strings), legato, marcato, spicc. It is all written in a way to maximize the virtuosic sound while maintaining a comfortability and playability. There is also some interesting deviation from the original melody. This piece is perfect for a holiday concert. Enjoy and please email me if you have any questions: Nicholas.C.Steinbach(@)gmail.com
