Choral Choir,Choral (Unison) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.890649 Composed by Stella ter Hart. Children,Concert,Instructional,Standards. 4 pages. Stella terHart #3460691. Published by Stella terHart (A0.890649). A perfect piece for an aspiring vocal soloist!  Text from the well known poetry of Robert Louise Stevenson. My Shadow features word painting in the vocal and accompaniment parts which highlight the text (jumping in bed, sun rising, etc).  The final section, in 'recitative' style, contrasts with the previous verses and provides textural contrast and the opportunity to 'opera it up' a bit!  The overall mood is playful and innocent.  Suitable for soprano and boy's unchanged voice.  Also excellent as a unison selection for children's choir.A superior concert, festival and competition selection!Duration:  2:15Key: F+Time Signature:  4/4Tempo:  Allegrettocomposer contact:  www.stellaterhart.com

Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.891901 Composed by Dr.Benjamin Robert Papperitz. Arranged by Stephen Davies. Romantic Period. 15 pages. Stephen Davies #3470576. Published by Stephen Davies (A0.891901). Using the unusual combination of 3 Soprano's & Tenor, the calm and simplistic opening to this piece gives it its charm, as the close harmonies open up to give any competent group an excercise in restraint. In addition, one of the most difficult things in music is to place staccato notes right on the beat, together, at a slow tempo! A good example of this is 'L'il Darlin' by Basie/Hefti, lots of bands have trouble with the 2 staccato crotchets in the main tune, placing them just so is tricky! Now, this is certainly not jazz, but the principle is the same. Dr.B.R.Papperitz was professor of harmony at the Leipzig Conservetoire from 1851-1868 and was a major influence on the composers of his time, other than that I know very little!
