Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.915872 Composed by Judy Lane. Children. Score. 106 pages. Judy Lane Music #2069277. Published by Judy Lane Music (A0.915872). This musical is written for children to enjoy the fun of singing and also for their audience to enjoy many magic moments during its 40 minute duration. Written for junior school choirs, it is easy learn and easy play. It can be a straight concert performance or if facilities exist, can include non singing children dressing up as Rats or Children and running round the auditorium at appropriate times. There is some 2 part writing and solo possibilities. If you have a Dad who could sing the Mayor's part, that would be just great. The ending deviates from the traditional as all the children return to Hamelin. Accompaniment is piano and flute. Approximate duration:- 40 minutes.

Published by Stella ter Hart (A0.890653). The Moon is a highly descriptive and expressive vocal work suitable for any age.  It features an extended range and much word painting; the voice gradually and sequentially rises higher to represent the rising of the moon in verse 1 and the sun in verse 2. The minor key at the opening represents the darkness of the moon and the dark things of the night; the major key in the second section represents all the bright things that live in the day.

Fl. Afl. (guit/kbd) - Intermediate-Advanced - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM628 Composed by Alexandra Lehmann. A set of dances for flute and alto flute duet. Score. 6 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM628. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM628). ISBN 9790570485277.'Plateau of Dances with a Scottish Flavour' Plateau of Dances with a Scottish Flavour was composed in autumn 2016, Eastbourne, and is inspired by my childhood in Doune, Perthshire; as well as the Ceilidhs and Feis (cultural festival in the Highlands) my daughter, Clara, and I were immersed in when we lived in the picturesque village of Kingussie, Badenoch and Strathspey. The four dances are a celebration of my love and nostalgia for Scotland, and an expression of my family's Scottish memories. Each dance comes with a quote from my favourite poet, Robert Burns, whose insightful and sensitive observations are a poignant appreciation of everyday life. Why the reference to Scottish food? Because this piece is dedicated to my father, Papou, who appreciates a merry supper. The 1st Movement, 'To the Mighty Haggis', is a Strathspey with its characteristic Scotch snap -a short-long rhythm, as if saying the word 'haggis'; which is fitting as the Scottish bard's quote comes from his poem Address to a Haggis, traditionally said on Burns' Night. The 2nd Movement, 'The Humble Shortbread', is a Reel; as is usually the case in Scottish dances. It should be played with a slightly 'snappy', swung rhythm. 'What though on homely fare we dine, [...] A man is a man for all that' comes from my favourite Burns' poem: A Man's a Man for A' That. And who doesn't enjoy the humble shortbread? There is a more reflective, nostalgic mood to the 3rd Movement, 'Ode to the Homely (salty) Porridge'. The Air is a reminiscence of the quiet evenings Clara and I would spend in Kingussie, with our view of the beautifully haunting mountains. 'What will I get to my supper, [...] Ye'se get a panfu' o' plumpin parridge' comes from Burns' The Shepherd's Wife who tries to entice her husband back home with the promise of porridge (the Scottish way: with salt). Finally, the 4th Movement, 'Too Many Drams of Whisky', is a cheerful and lively Jig. It's the convivial merriness of being with friends and family, maybe at a Ceilidh, with a wink to Scotland's 'water of life'. 'We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet, For auld lang syne' comes from Burns' famous Auld Lang Syne: a fitting end to our musical and culinary tour of Scotland.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.790173 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ludwig van Beethoven. Classical,Concert. Score. 17 pages. Diamond S Music #5755359. Published by Diamond S Music (A0.790173). Rondo a Capriccio in G Major, Op.129 - Rage Over A Lost Penny - Beethoven - Piano Solo.  The Rondo alla ingharese quasi un capriccio in G major, Op. 129 is a piano rondo by Ludwig van Beethoven. It is better known by the title Rage Over a Lost Penny, Vented in a Caprice. This title appears on the autograph manuscript, but not in Beethoven's hand, and has been attributed to his friend Anton Schindler. It is a favorite with audiences and is frequently performed as a showpiece. Robert Schumann wrote of the work that it would be difficult to find anything merrier than this whim... It is the most amiable, harmless anger, similar to that felt when one cannot pull a shoe from off the foot, citing the work as an instance of Beethoven's earthliness against those fixated upon a transcendental image of the composer. This new edition also contains a brief biography of Beethoven, some historical information about the piece, and a facsimile of a portion of the original manuscript.  Other similar arrangements and selections from DIAMOND S MUSIC available at: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/diamond-s-music/6940

Its relatively flat topography and high elevation lead to intense winds and unpredictable storms bestowing the plateau's colorful moniker. Contrary to the title, the music reflects a compilation of impressions from multiple visits over a decade’s time, gathered with my son’s first-hand reports of overnight stays, rather than a single day’s experience. My original objective for the music was to portray the stark and stony landscape alternatively caressed and buffeted in a stew of breezes and gales, sunshine and storms. However, as I was writing the piece it became apparent the true theme of the music is rather a daily high-altitude drama pitting light versus darkness, a drama staged on the plateau’s rocks, meadows, streams, and lakes depicting a perpetually shifting kaleidoscope of distinctive lighting unlike any I have experienced elsewhere. The transparent, thin air reveals indigo blue skies and scalding-white clouds overarching stunning vistas stretching a hundred miles or more. The landscape glitters under the radiance of high latitude sunlight. The only word I can think of to describe the golden glow of sunbeams slicing through a summer snow squall is ethereal. The utter absence of artificial light makes for the darkest night skies and brightest stars one can experience on earth.
