Perfect Strangers is a song by British record producer Jonas Blue, featuring the vocals from JP Cooper. It was released as a digital download in the United Kingdom on 3 June 2016. It is the second single from Blue's debut album Blue. The song peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, and reached the top 10 positions in eight additional countries, including Germany, Australia, and Sweden. A Japanese version of the song by South Korean girl group AOA was released on their album Runway.

The composition was composed in response to a poem written in 1992 by Karl Dietrich Hepp (Kaspar Damian Hosp under his pen name). The first letters of the individual movements of the string trio are H E P P: Halcyon, Ethereal, Pointillist and Perpetuum. The poem by K.D.H. was inspired by a photo of his father taken on a ski tour in 1931. Both, the poem and the photo are printed in the edition and everything adds up to a fascinating, artistic chain reaction. The diatonic material of the first movement in the composition by Waterhouse expresses optimism, energy and liberation. The 2nd movement is a study in pianissimo harmonics. The following 3rd movement is a pizzicato study in a bright and vivid harmonic tableau. In the last movement, a kind of Moto Perpetuo, the musical material continually transforms. Graham Waterhouse (*1962) was born into a musical family and has lived in Munich since 1992 where he is active as a freelance composer and cellist. He received his musical education at Cambridge University and at music colleges in Essen and Cologne. His works to date comprise mainly chamber music and instrumental concerts. Waterhouse performs as a solo cellist and in various chamber music formations. He has performed his own Cello Concerto in Toluca, Mexico City, Gorkij, Weimar and Baden-Baden.

The song was featured in both the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie and on its soundtrack. The song is a relaxed ballad with country qualities and lyrics that describe being in love. Swift performed the song as herself during a cameo in the Hannah Montana: The Movie; this scene was taken from the film and released as a music video for Crazier. The song was premiered on Radio Disney and the Disney Channel, the latter promoting the home release of the film. The song charted at number seventeen on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, sixty-four in the Australian Singles Chart, sixty-seven in the Canadian Hot 100, and at number one-hundred on the UK Singles Chart.

THERE IS HOPE THROUGH MUSIC

On Saturday afternoon, March 26, 2011, Robert Van Horne, pianist and composer was invited to a special meeting of Bay Area business people. Their purpose - wanting to help the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami that devastated parts of Japan on March 11th.

The meeting was organized by Mr. Alex Kurosawa, president of KPMF and held in San Jose, CA.

At the end of the meeting and after much discussion about holding a series of concerts with all funds going to the disaster victims, it was suggested that Robert compose a new song for the project that would let those afflicted in Japan, know they would not be forgotten.

I was so inspired by the dedication and volunteerism of all the people at the meeting, Robert says, that I went home and composed a new piece of music with the title: THERE IS HOPE THROUGH MUSIC.

This cello and piano arrangement was featured on October 15, 2011 at the First Congregational Church of Berkeley by cellist Oleg Sendetsky and pianist Mutsuko Dohi and presented by the Kurosawa Piano Music Foundation.

The music is dedicated to give hope to all those affected by the March 11, 2011. It is an emotionally sounding work of music.
