Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1398409 Composed by Traditional Spiritual. Arranged by Brandon Haynes. Spiritual. Score. 7 pages. Brandon Haynes #981685. Published by Brandon Haynes (A0.1398409). Arranged for Cimarron Opera's 54th Annual Festival of Spirituals. De Blin' Man Stood On De Road and Cried is an African American Spiritual with biblical commentary of the story of Bartimaeus and its relation to the human experience of African American slavery.  Typically, this spiritual is sung and performed in major mode. However, to add more poignancy to the text, I have set it in minor-mode until the final verse going from Eb-minor to C-major briefly and ending in A-minor. It is for high-voice and piano accompaniment.

Low voice and piano - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8666-05E Composed by Steven Mark Kohn. 11 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8666-05E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8666-05E). English.Comprised of fifteen songs, each are mini-dramas. Something is happening in each one of them. Someone is travelling, working, or suffering. Their messages are universal to the human experience. They still resonate. Kohn did extensive editing of the available texts to keep the storytelling succinct. I arranged these songs, but I did not write them. Our ancestors, storytellers with great musical talent, did that many years ago. -Steven Mark Kohn, 2000Contents (Click to listen- Medium Voice Version):

A Clarinet,Bassoon,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1284281 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,March,Romantic Period. 38 pages. RayThompsonMusic #875459. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1284281). Arranged double wind quintet/bass.This is my arrangement of the complete work - it includes the trio.Check out my shorter version here. The Festival Coronation March in D major, TH 50, ČW 47, is an orchestral work by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky ordered by the city of Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander III in 1883.It was written during March 1883 and performed for the first time on June 4[O.S. May 23], 1883 in Sokolniki Park (Moscow), conducted by Sergei Taneyev. The music included excerpts of the anthem God Save the Tsar.Recordings of this piece generally run between 5 and 5½ minutes.Arranged wind dectet/bass (double wind quintet/bass/tuba)My arrangement is in the same key as the original (D major)Clarinet parts are CLARINET IN ARather than simply copying the woodwind parts, I have moved some of the music down one octave. Thus avoiding the shrill sound of high woodwind in a smaller ensemble. For info: During the Soviet Era, Russian performances and recordings of the music were revised to omit the excerpts from the Czarist national anthem, replacing it with thematic material used earlier in the march. Other works that quoted or otherwise used the anthem, such as Tchaikovsky's Marche Slave and 1812 Overture, were also revised, due to an official Soviet ban on the anthem.Starting with Dmitri Medvedev’s inauguration in 2008, an abbreviated version of this piece is played during the Russian presidential inauguration accompanying the entrance of the incoming president. That version (Similar to my arrangement) lasts less than two minutes, and so ends well before the playing  of  God Save the Tsar.Check out my arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Military March,TH150 arranged for similar instrumentation.

Brass Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.954085 Composed by Melody Dawning. Concert,Contemporary. Score and parts. 33 pages. Melody Dawning #3004801. Published by Melody Dawning (A0.954085). Maneo [pronounced MAH-nee-oh] is a Latin word meaning I remain or I await. The concept behind this piece is the process of waiting for and working toward the fulfillment of goals and dreams that seem far off, which requires both patience and persistence. The first movement, Patience, is painfully slow and full of dense, dissonant chords that avoid resolution. Although the melody wanders through several tonal centers, in many ways it feels as though it has not gone anywhere. However, as the movement progresses to a climax, the incessant tritone dissonance finally begins to dissolve. In the second movement, Persistence, the augmented triad dominates both harmonically and melodically for much of the piece, accompanied by relentless eighth-note motion. The main theme from the first movement appears first as an accompaniment figure, and later in a more prominent melodic role in combination with other motives used throughout the movement. A contrasting, dream-like middle section represents catching a glimpse of reaching the sought-after goal, and this theme returns towards the end in a triumphant finish. The two movements are played consecutively with no pause in between.
