An original piece by composer and clarinetist Ryan Terry. This work is a suite of some of the earliest ideas and melodies that Ryan ever had as a composer, hence the title, Suite of Beginnings. In fact, the simple melody you hear in the first movement is the first melody that the composer ever came up with. The other movements are other ideas from the composer's early career sitting at a piano and making things up, as well as messing around with music producing software. These ideas were recalled and arranged into this suite for clarinet and piano and were performed at Brigham Young University-Idaho during the Spring 2023 semester. Since then, the piece has since been polished and revised.

This piece was originally written for and performed by the Percussion Methods class at Brigham Young University-Idaho during the Spring 2023 semester, and has since been polished and revised.

An original piece by composer and clarinetist Ryan Terry. This electronically-accompanied clarinet piece is built entirely upon a singular group of four notes (or set) which is called the alpha set. It is categorized with the numbers (0, 3, 4, 7), which create a triad with both a major and a minor third when played together. The sound it creates is quite dissonant but is eerily beautiful. The electronic backing track draws techniques from the composer's early roots creating synthetic boss-battle music. This piece was first performed on-campus at Brigham Young University-Idaho in the Winter 2024 semester.

The overall groove of the piece draws inspiration from the sounds of the early 2000s popular soundtrack Animusic, of which the composer grew familiar with during his childhood. It is short and sweet, so I am willing to return to this piece to lengthen it out if anyone is interested in it being a few minutes longer.

This piece was originally written for the Brigham Young University-Idaho Clarinet Studio back in the Spring of 2022. It has since been revised and polished, and awaits a new premiere performance.

The chord progression is based loosely on the chords from the Mother's Lullaby in the animated film The Prince of Egypt. The title came from my composition professor, who accidently misspoke when trying to say ramen noodles. This chart was first performed on-campus at Brigham Young University-Idaho in the Spring 2023 semester. I edited two of the weaker solos out of the recording.
