Piano Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1104782 By Katy Perry. By Esther Dean, Katy Perry, Mikkel Eriksen, Sandy Wilhelm, and Tor Erik Hermansen. Arranged by Fernando Ramos. Contemporary,Pop,Rock,Singer/Songwriter. Score. 3 pages. Fernando Ramos #708020. Published by Fernando Ramos (A0.1104782). YouTube Link: https://youtu.be/c624ta1-tLk Other Arrangements Available: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/fernando-ramos-sheet-music/3016426?isPLP=1 I make piano solo arrangements for my students of songs that they love! My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music and, most importantly, that it also makes pianistic sense. Each of my arrangements is made for a specific student, so the results will vary in terms of playing level. Most decisions are based on their current skills and abilities, or where I would like for them to be when they complete the piece. This arrangement was made for a mid-beginner student working in Level 3 of Alfred's Masterwork Classics. There is a bit of moving around the piano which might be uncomfortable for the student. This is a good thing, especially because the repetition really helps keep this manageable. Pedal and fingering suggestions are included.

Solo Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.899127 Composed by Richard Strauss. Arranged by Rod Whittle. 20th Century. Individual part. 4 pages. Maggie Creek Music #3037161. Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899127). Transcription for solo classical guitar. 4 pages. Richard Strauss (1864 -1949) Strauss's music amounts to a huge body of symphonic and operatic work written over 60 years. Full of vitality, endlessly melodic, brilliantly orchestrated, it begins and ends in the romantic tradition, but for the most part expresses something more modern and individualistic, not without controversy in its time. Variation of style and structure is drawn from the descriptive (literary) nature of compositions, and an extraordinary inventiveness enlivens the scenes, moods and situations. Strauss said once that he produced music the way cows give milk, and indeed his music rarely seems contrived. The opera Strauss wrote 15 operas on a variety of subjects and across the whole spectrum of drama. He acknowledged being enchanted by the soprano voice, and his writing for it highlights many of the works, including Adriane auf Naxos (composed in 1912). The opera has been described as 'sparkling', which sums it up well, and passages influenced by Bach, Mozart, Puccini, and Wagner add to the interest. The storyline is a play within a play, the second part being the mythological 'Opera' staged in the story. The three pieces transcribed* are from this Opera. The guitar arrangements All classical guitar pieces are compromises. The instrument has only six strings, the left hand four fingers able to be used, and with the right hand its rare to use more than three fingers and the thumb. So, despite the amount of noise possible, it's inevitable that passages occur where either harmony, bass or fragments of counterpoint that would be beneficial are left out. In particular, the higher up the neck music is played the simpler it tends to be, if harder to play, and unless the low bass is an open string there wont be any. So I think the main part of attaining a fair transcription (better to be called an arrangement if the original musical structure is not strictly followed, as in this case) is determining how a good compromise can be reached. Melody, counterpoint, bass and main harmonies demand inclusion, and register is important. One may generally assume the original score can't be improved on. However, if the music may sound well on guitar, and the above elements can be incorporated without the playing becoming very difficult, something enjoyable to play and worthwhile listening to should be able to be achieved. Overture; 'A golden time …' Here the Mozart influence, better, inspiration, is wonderfully evident. A gentle waltz time (only the first section of the overture is transcribed) carries the colourful harmonies, strong melodic threads and connecting flourishes that stamp both pieces. The aria is alluded to in the Overture several times, which as you would expect, is intricately woven with the hints themes later to be established in the Opera. It has a kind of 'jazzy' freedom, and it's always miraculous to me that composition so involved can retain its musical line, here done in Strauss's inimitable way. The aria, sung not far into the Opera, has the perfect inevitability of Mozart, but again it is Strauss. As explained, keys have been changed to suit the guitar. Chorus and Aria This selection from the finale has features well worth trying to translate. The device of having a strong chorus, in the style of a Bach chorale, stated and then counterpointed by a solo voice in a restatement, is potent, and that in the opera the chorus (of the three nymphs) isn't immediately followed by the accompanying aria (of Ariadne) means the latter comes as a moment of surprising beauty. Neither parts are complicated, and lovely arpeggios, a feature Strauss's music, often impart the assured progressions. A problem was to capture the distinct register of the soprano voices, som.

It was my first freelance arrangement and, interestingly, turned out to be the best-selling anthem that I've ever written. It's had a good run with Beckenhorst, but now the rights have been returned to me. And so it's my joy to introduce it to another generation of church musicians, with a companion orchestration now available (sold separately at https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/22237960  In addition, because of the many church choirs with fewer men than women, I have created an SAB edition, available separately at https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/22256390

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1510395 Composed by Bill Gaither and Gloria Gaither. Arranged by Mikhail Rimsky-Korsakov. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 32 pages. MRK Studio #1085584. Published by MRK Studio (A0.1510395). Because He Lives is a classic song (hymn) penned by one of the most lauded couples in Christian music, Bill and Gloria Gaither. This song explores how the resurrection of Christ transforms the lives of believers.   At this song's 50th anniversary, in honor of this legacy milestone, Gaither Music Group has initiated a yearlong celebration highlighting numerous performances of the song across many different platforms and genres. First released on October 18, 1971, this song was, and is, one of the most popular songs written by the Gospel Music Hall of Fame members.  “People have asked me, ‘Did you know right away that it was going to be a song that was going to be translated in other languages?’” stated Bill. “When you create a new song—and you write as many as we have–you really don’t know. Many times you write one and you think it is going to be the next ‘Amazing Grace,’ and it just dies a natural death. When we wrote ‘Because He Lives’ I felt like it was a good song, but you only find out how good a song is when people start responding to it, and the more we sang it the more people responded. I’m humbled it has been translated into so many languages and did not foresee that.”, he added.Read more here This song was commissioned by a South African Baritone Soloist, Johann Nefdt, to be performed by a Baritone Soloists, 2 Violins, Piano and Pipe Organ. All parts are included in the sale. Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1257185 Composed by Nicholas White. 21st Century,Classical,Traditional. Octavo. 16 pages. Nicholas White Music #850509. Published by Nicholas White Music (A0.1257185). George Eliot's poem is given a rich and powerful setting for choir and organ.O May I join the choir invisible  Of those immortal dead who live again  In minds made better by their presence: live  In pulses stirr'd to generosity,  In deeds of daring rectitude, in scorn For miserable aims that end with self,  In thoughts sublime that pierce the night like stars,  And with their mild persistence urge man's search  To vaster issues.          So to live is heaven:  To make undying music in the world,  Breathing as beauteous order that controls  With growing sway the growing life of man.  So we inherit that sweet purity  For which we struggled, fail'd, and agoniz'd With widening retrospect that bred despair.  Rebellious flesh that would not be subdued,  A vicious parent shaming still its child,  Poor anxious penitence, is quick dissolv'd;  Its discords, quench'd by meeting harmonies,   Die in the large and charitable air.  And all our rarer, better, truer self,  That sobb'd religiously in yearning song,  That watch'd to ease the burthen of the world,  Laboriously tracing what must be,      And what may yet be better,—saw within  A worthier image for the sanctuary,  And shap'd it forth before the multitude,  Divinely human, raising worship so  To higher reverence more mix'd with love,—    That better self shall live till human Time  Shall fold its eyelids, and the human sky  Be gather'd like a scroll within the tomb Unread forever.          This is life to come,  Which martyr'd men have made more glorious       For us who strive to follow. May I reach  That purest heaven, be to other souls  The cup of strength in some great agony,  Enkindle generous ardor, feed pure love,  Beget the smiles that have no cruelty,Be the sweet presence of a good diffus'd,  And in diffusion ever more intense!  So shall I join the choir invisible  Whose music is the gladness of the world.

Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1079739 Composed by Eddie Lewis. Classical,Instructional,Sacred. Score and parts. 6 pages. Tiger Music #683926. Published by Tiger Music (A0.1079739). I have said this in the description for other pieces, but it’s worth mentioning again. I believe that trumpet students should begin performing from the start of their careers. The problem with this belief is that there isn’t much good music written for the beginners to perform. Most of what is published is “dumbed down†and doesn’t sound like real music. I have been trying to fill that cap by composing pieces for the beginners that I would be proud to perform in public. My objective with these compositions is to write music that sounds like real music, but functions within the limitations of the beginners’ trumpet skills. My first compositions of this nature were the three bird solos, Bird March, Feathered Friends and The Purple Parrot (which I let my then current students name). One of those students performed the Bird March solo at a school assembly only three or four months after she started playing the trumpet. That student eventually quit trumpet to pursue a busy performance career in theater (she was an elementary school student) but performing the Bird March for her fellow students is a memory she will always fondly look back on. That is part of why performing early in the learning process is so important. You don’t know when students will continue, and which ones will not. For those students whose trumpet careers end up being no longer than a year, the one or two performances they have in that year are all they will have to look back on. Unfortunately, those who do not perform at all will only ever remember the drudgery of pointless practice and rehearsals. But there’s more to my early performance philosophy than just that. For those students who do continue their trumpet careers for many years, the earlier performances have a mental benefit that cannot be replaced in any other way. Their future progress on the trumpet is greatly enhanced by each performance they present in the first two years of their trumpet careers.
