During rehearsal, I heard the amazing cello sound, that is a sound that I adored, it was the most amazing sound that I have ever heard, I was totally obsessed with the instrument, and I listen to cello concerto every day. Haydn, Dvorak, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Schumann. I was totally obsessed with the instrument! Then I thought, why don’t I write a cello concerto by myself? That’s why I composed this piece.
