Nasza Zima ZÅ‚a! Is a Polish children's poem written by Maria Konopinka (1842-1910). This short poem has been set to many different melodies over the last 150 years. The poem was dedicated to the winter, the season of the year which brings so much cold. In Poland, winter can be very cold and temperatures can fall below-30 degrees Celsius. The snow cover in the lowlands can exceed 2 meters! In spite of the seriousness of the situation and the fear of cold, the lyrical subject speaks for a group of people as a lyric mask that boasts we are not afraid of winter!
