String Parts include: Violin I and II, Viola, Cello) - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.80-500-E Composed by Normand Gouin. Score & instrument parts. 33 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #80-500-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.80-500-E). English.Normand Gouin has crafted a timeless setting of the Mass. He has set familiar Gregorian chant Ordinary parts—Kyrie XVI in Greek, Gloria VIII in Latin, Mode VI Alleluia, Sanctus XVIII in Latin, ICEL memorial acclamations in English, ICEL Amen (expanded), and Agnus Dei XVIII in Latin—for Assembly, SATB choir, and organ, with optional instrumentation for Flute, Brass Quintet, Percussion, and Strings. The choral parts sometimes support the assembly chant, and sometimes act as halos, deftly embellishing it. The score is in modern notation, and rhythmic values have been treated with great care to preserve the natural flow of chant. A highlight is the Gloria (Missa de Angelis), which alternates assembly chant with original, metered music for the choir based on the chant. Commissioned for the dedication of Christ Cathedral, Orange, CA, in 2019.

Choral Choir,Choral (SSA) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1027940 Composed by Charlotte Roberts. Christian,Christmas,Contemporary. 25 pages. Charlotte Osman #3108241. Published by Charlotte Osman (A0.1027940). A beautiful contemporary Christmas Mass for SSA plus Solo Soprano and Piano.  Written in British Contemporary style mixing the traditional Christmas Liturgy with English text this Mass starts with a low key Kyrie, before moving through an uplifting Gloria, to a slower Credo, a faster paced Holy, Holy and finally easing into a beautiful warm slow Sanctus to round the piece off.  This will challenge your choir and provide them with a beautiful alternative to traditional masses.  About 8 mins in length it fits comfortably with your Christmas repertoire.  It will provide a challenge but is possible with a good community choir which was who it was performed with originally.  Although utilising Christian Liturgy it is suitable for any Christmas concert and will be a worthy addition for any choir or choral group.

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1401980 Composed by Robert Edward Smith. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred. 9 pages. ROBERT EDWARD SMITH MUSIC #985177. Published by ROBERT EDWARD SMITH MUSIC (A0.1401980). This is a musical setting of the English text for the Liturgy, or Mass, as celebrated in Catholic, Episcopal, Anglican, and other denominations that use the ICEL translations of the Ordinary.  It is meant for organ and choir to support the singing of the congregation, but is easy enough to learn as to allow use by congregations without the support of a choir.  The entire purpose of this setting is to provide music that is easy enough for a congregation to learn and sing that they may do so entirely on their own, with only organ as support.  The audio musical sample of the Sanctus is an example of this simplicity. The PDF includes the score for organ and choir, as well as congregation parts which may be printed on both sides of 8x10 cards to be left in the pews.  However, the music has proven to be easy enough to learn that these cards may be unnecessary.

SATB choir, organ - Moderately Difficult - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8067-E Composed by David Conte. 23 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8067-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8067-E). Latin. This is the third work David Conte has composed for them; the others are Elegy for Matthew in memory of Matthew Shepard (2000), and September Sun in memory of 9/11/2001 (2002). Missa Brevis was composed for both liturgical and concert use. The Kyrie is slow, solemn, and chromatic. The Gloria provides a marked contrast with its fast and lively music with many changing meters and syncopations. The Sanctus is broad and expressive, followed by the faster Hosanna in compound meter. The Benedictus is built over a ground bass and features canonic duets among the four voices. The Agnus Dei returns to the more solemn and chromatic mood of the Kyrie, and ends with an exact recapitulation of the Kyrie music.

Contest,Festival,Instructional,Renaissance,Standards,Wedding. 50 pages. Jmsgu3 #678317. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1074047). Josquin des Prez (c.1450-1521) was a composer of the Renaissance period, widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time. His compositions set the standard for polyphonic music and are considered a high point in the history of music. He wrote a wide range of works, including masses, motets, and chansons, and was the first composer to set popular secular tunes as mass movements. His influence can be seen in the works of many later composers, including Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, and George Frideric Handel.Josquin des Prez was a prolific composer of chamber music and duets during the Renaissance period. He wrote several types of chamber music and duets, including madrigals, chansons, and motets. His compositions are characterized by their intricate counterpoint, as well as their harmonic richness and emotional expressiveness. His works often featured two voices in harmony, and he was known to use imitation and complex canonic techniques to create interesting musical textures. Josquin's chamber music and duets are renowned for their complexity and beauty, and they remain some of the most influential and admired works from the Renaissance period.Josquin Desprez is widely regarded as one of the most influential composers of the Renaissance period. His innovative use of counterpoint and canon helped to revolutionize the musical landscape of the time. Counterpoint is a technique of combining two or more independent melodies in a way that creates harmony and a cohesive musical texture. Josquin was a master of this technique, often combining multiple voices in complex contrapuntal textures. His use of canon, or round, was also highly influential. Canon involves two or more voices repeating the same melody in different registers and often with different rhythms. Josquin wrote canons in various styles and forms, including the popular “circular canon†and the more complex “strict canon.†He was also an early adopter of the “inverted canon†form, in which the same melody is repeated but in an inverted form. Josquin’s use of counterpoint and canon had a lasting impact on the development of Western music and helped to establish the foundation for many of the musical forms and techniques still used today.Contents: I.
