The music presupposes wide use of improvisation in the accompaniment (extended refrains between the verses) and in vocal parts. With each new verse, the improvised line gets longer and more sophisticated. There is room for the competition of two singers (if the verses are divided among two of them). We as directors are looking for Brevis Mass to be sung in a normal service, even in a wedding. Here duration is overcame, only one minute each (Kyrie, Sanctus, Agnus). Latin text is helpfull as a tradition point. It is a SATB no divisi piece, for a dinamic, young and fresh choir if not due to the age at least due to the energy. All three pieces belong to a similar composition style and idea. Young and dynamic music for young and dynamic choir. Plenty of energy, it could be worked as a week-end workshop as a step up activity at the beginning of the season.
