A very simple three-part setting of the well-known Advent hymn.  Set for unison ladies' voices in V.1, unison men in V.2, SA in V.3 and then unison with a descant for the final verse, the organ accompaniment adds interest as it builds throughout.  The piece then ends on a fortissimo Amen.  Used by the composer's small church choir to great effect in opening a Lessons & Carols service.
