Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.989177 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Wedding. 6 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #594758. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.989177). This easy arrangement for saxophone trio was written to be uncomplicated to perform and understand the structure of the piece. It can be freely played by beginning students, because of the ease imposed on the piece; however, this does not prevent it from being played by professionals and music teachers. It is also ideal for academic recitals, student method and ceremonies that are arranged in the same way as the piece contains. The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called Air on the G String dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the Air on the G String. This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument.

Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3073965. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533912). This Burning Sun of Grief and Memory... was written for and dedicated tothe French Saxophone Trio Trimurti. The work is a further reworking of thetheatre music which the composer wrote for Nevers, based on the appendix ofMarguerite Duras' script for Hiroshima Mon Amour. The musical material is based on the central motive of this music, which representsboth desire and grief, which are tied together through a veil of remembrance and loss. The work is in several independant sections which are performed without pause, usingall three instruments as independent voices in a typical Trio Sonata texture. This workcould also be seen as a musical expression of performing and preparing the theatre piece, with each of the instruments representing one of the individuals involved in the originalproduction.

Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1341915 Composed by George Frideric Handel. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Christian,Christmas,Holiday,Traditional. 3 pages. Jmsgu3 #927425. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1341915). Joy to the World is an English Christmas carol written by the English minister and hymnwriter Isaac Watts in 1719. Here are some interesting facts about the song:Originally a Poem: Joy to the World was originally a poem, not a song.Inspiration: Isaac Watts wrote the lyrics with Jesus's second coming in mind, not His first coming, inspired by the latter half of Psalm 98.Musical Origin: The melody for Joy to the World is attributed to George Frideric Handel and arranged by Lowell Mason. The first four notes of the song are the same as the chorus Lift your heads from Handel's Messiah. Not Intended as a Christmas Carol: The song wasn't intended to be a Christmas carol, as its original version had no such link with Christmas. It adapted Psalm 98, celebrating Jesus's role as King of his church and the world.Popularity: Since 1719, Joy to the World has remained one of the most-published hymns in Northern America and has been recorded by various artists.Joy to the World is a timeless piece of art that has withstood the test of time and continues to be enjoyed and appreciated by generations, making it a significant part of Christmas celebrations.
