Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.862646 Composed by Scott Joplin. Arranged by Michael Bomier. 20th Century,Ragtime,Standards. Score. 5 pages. Michael Butkus-Bomier #3555119. Published by Michael Butkus-Bomier (A0.862646). The Gladiolus Rag has such sweet harmony, with its major 7ths in the treble throughout. The classic rag-gy figure in the final strain, with its rocking motion between the top tone and the chord beneath in the RH lends additional poiniancy to the music. All-original notes here, but with some respelled chords, No Fb major to Bbb major, for example, and clear syncopation throughout. It is paginated to lay across a music desk with four sheets showing at once. So, print it single-sided for ease of reading, practise and performance. MBB.

Solo Guitar - Digital Download SKU: A0.985333 Composed by Jeremiah Lawson. Classical,Contemporary. Individual part. 5 pages. Jeremiah Lawson #6833461. Published by Jeremiah Lawson (A0.985333). This work was premiered at the Seattle Composers Salon on May 5, 2017 at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd. I composed Guitar Sonata No. 6 in A major as an homage to Scott Joplin for the centennial of his death. It is a fully traditional sonata form but composed entirely from original ragtime themes. The piece may be played with or without swing and has a few places where the performer can improvise or compose interludes or vary the first theme within the first structural repeat of the sonata. Performance time is roughly 7 minutes (give or take cadenzas, etc) and is five pages long.

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533123 Composed by Scott Joplin. Arranged by Paul Wehage. 20th Century,Instructional,Ragtime. Score and parts. 19 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #1750493. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533123). “The Ragtime Dance†was first performed in Sedalia, Missouri in 1899 as a “folk ballet†set to ragtime music. The narrator describes a “dark town†ball which ends with a cakewalk. Tis version includes choreography for four couples. The piece was then published in this version in 1902. In 1906, a shorter version for piano solo was published, which uses fewer thems and omits the narration. This version uses the original 1902 version as a basis. This is the full score. The score plus the complete parts is available as another item. The individual parts are available as well. The work may be performed as a concert band number, or the orchestration may be used to perform the original ballet. The “stoptime†effects at the end of the piece are especially effective in the version with dancers. Instrumentation : Piccolo Flute I and II Oboe I and II Bassoon 1 and II Bb clarinet I, II and III Bass Clarinet Alto Saxophone I and II Tenor Saxophone Baritone Saxophone Bb Trumpet I and II F Horn I and II Trombone Baritone Tuba Percussion 1: snare drum Percussion II: bass drum, triangle.
