On inspection he found he had a quoll living there. The quoll was safely evicted without either party getting hurt. Spotted-tail quolls (tiger cats) are found on the Eastern coast of Australia and in Tasmania. Though to look at, this spotty animal is quite cute, it is actually quite a vicious predator, hunting animals such as possums, rabbits and reptiles. Related to the Tasmanian devil, these furry little animals have strong jaws, and communicate using hissing and screaming.

It works as a more modern setup for the jazzy closer, DAVID Mvt IV. If the piano intro to Colosseum, seems to lag before the soprano enters...take the second ending on the intro... that will avoid the star singer having to wait too long! I composed my second guitar sonata in 2010. Guitar Sonata No. 2 in C major is six pages long, has two movements, and its estimated performance time is 8:30 to 9:00. The first movement, Inner Visions & Power Puffs, is a zippy sonata form opening with a 12-bar blues Theme 1. After a conventional modulating transition Theme 2 appears in the traditional key of G major. The title of the movement alludes to the Stevie Wonder album Innervisions and, of course, the Powerpuff Girls. The sonata form has a climax by way of three Bartok pizzicati on the dominant pedal to depict the girls defeating Mojo Jojo and putting him in jail.  The second movement is a lullaby with variations. The lullaby is an original song I used to sing for one of my nieces to help her fall asleep. The complete sonata has been recorded by Daniel Estrem and is available on the Magnatune release Estrem Plays Lawson.http://magnatune.com/artists/albums/estrem-estremlawson/I played movement 1 at a Seattle Classic Guitar Society open mic in 2012 on a warm summer Friday night and there were kids playing and screaming in the background, which helped set the mood of the sonata rather than break it.

I have arranged it for 4 classical guitars and a bass but it would work equally with a mix of acoustic and classical. Due to the timing involved and quite high positions it does not suit beginners but would be great fun  for an intermediate level ensemble. This song seems to appeal to both young and old alike. I have been nearly deafened by classes of 8 year olds screaming the words at me and had some brilliant sessions with adults playing too.

In the original key from the LP Chase, this song is a fast, driving piece. One note about this arrangement...I know it's next to impossible to play both the melody and the chords in some parts of this arrangement. I wanted to keep the arrangement as it appears in the record as close as possible. I have a fond memory of this song and am sorry you can't experience this version anymore. I was working in a department store electronics dept the year Quadrophonic music came out. Quad was the precursor to Surround Sound. To stand in the middle of 4 speakers facing you and here the opening riffs of this song bounce from one speaker to the next is an experience that is hard to describe. There is a youTube video that has the Quad version posted. But it just isn't the same.
