I tried to convey what I thought David wanted when he wrote this praise song. It moves at a very quick pace and is exciting to perform. Incorporating a full choir, brass quintet, and piano Psalm 100 can be a challenge to keep pace with the tempo. The secret is for the choir not to over-sing, emphasize the strong beats (as noted), and sing with a small mouth. Let it flow smoothly in phrases.       Psalm 100 will be a great praise and worship anthem and fits will for special occassions. The brass parts and score are sold as a seperate packet. Sax commissioned a number of works from Mayeur for the saxophone, which were published by his company and used in his class at the Paris Conservatory.By 1871, Mayeur was also named Saxophone Solo with the Paris Opera, performing in opears and ballets by Halévy, Meyerbeer, Thomas, Saint-Saens, Massenet,   Délibes and Paladlihe. It would appear that sometime during this period, his relations with Sax became difficult, culminating in his publications of works by Buffet-Crampon, one of Sax’s rival companies and one of the main protagonists in the series of lawsuits which led to Sax’s bankrupcy. Returning to France, she studied the piano briefly with Chopin and composition with Camille Saint-Saëns. At first writing mostly sacred music, most of her public success was due to her comic operas: la Comtesse Eva, la Pénitente, Piccolino and Mazeppa. She also wrote orchestral music, chamber music, and over 60 songs (to poets such as Sully-Prudhomme, Michel Carré, Henri Meilhac, Georges Hartmann, Charles Grandmougin and Louis Gallet.)
