It comes from the Codex Saldivar which is a Baroque manuscript found in Mexico in 1943. I have added two parts that can be played by any melody instrument. I wrote it for violin, recorder and guitar but it also works with two violins or two flutes and guitar. It is a very suitable arrangement to play with students. The guitar also has a solo moment where the guitarist can shine and play a beautiful melody. The melody instruments have Baroque inspired passages in eight notes as well as melodies that support the harmony. The PDF includes seperate parts. I hope you enjoy playing this trascription.

Because it would be a pity for guitarists not to be able to play Adele's piano version I decided to make a transcription. The score only has the guitar part but you won't have a hard time singing the lyrics on top. Or even better: ask a singer to sing the melody. I  can ensure you that the audience will leave in tears.  Everything on the score is as in Adeles version except for a small guitar solo I added instead of Adeles piano solo. Don't hesitate to do your own thing in this passage, it is only there as a suggestion. I have put double bar-lines at every section and added chord symbols at the first A and the first B. This way it will be easier for you to grasp the structure of the song. Enjoy!

It is in the guitar friendly key of A minor and can be played as solo piece or used to accompany a singer. The arrangement starts with a four measure intro before going to the melody. The theme is repeated with some little variations in the second page. The chords symbols are added on the first page so you can make your own picking patterns while accompanying. This version is in standard notation and tab. I hope this arrangement is usefull for you or your students, I didn't include any dynamics because I think that by following the melody the dynamics will flow out of your guitar by itself. The idea of this arrangement is to have a written out accompaniment of Greensleeves for guitar and a melody instrument like violin. I have added some guitar fingering to the score that should make it easier to study. I also made a small introduction before starting the original melody. The guitar follows the melody but sometimes takes off on it's own; always supporting the lead instrument.
