Bassoon,Clarinet,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1335055 Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Chamber. 22 pages. RayThompsonMusic #920917. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1335055). Satie: Parade - Final & Suite au Prélude de rideau rougeArranged wind dectet/bass (double wind quintet)The concluding music for Erik Satie's Ballet Parade.Other movements from Parade are available. Background info:Parade is a ballet choreographed by Leonide Massine, with music by Erik Satie and a one-act scenario by Jean Cocteau. The ballet was composed in 1916–17 for Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. The ballet premiered on Friday, May 18, 1917, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, with costumes and sets designed by Pablo Picasso, choreography by Léonide Massine (who danced), and the orchestra conducted by Ernest Ansermet. The ballet was remarkable for several reasons. It was the first collaboration between Satie and Picasso, and also the first time either of them had worked on a ballet, thus making it the first time either collaborated with Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes. The plot of Parade incorporated and was inspired by popular entertainments of the period, such as Parisian music-halls and American silent-films.Much of the settings used in Parade's plot occurred outside of the formal Parisian theater, depicting the streets of Paris. The plot reproduces various elements of everyday life such as the music hall and fairground. Before Parade, the use of popular entertainment materials was considered unsuitable for the elite world of the ballet. The plot of Parade composed by Cocteau includes the failed attempt of a troupe of performers to attract audience members to view their show. Some of Picasso's Cubist costumes were in solid cardboard, allowing the dancers only a minimum of movement. The score contained several noise-making instruments (typewriter, foghorn, an assortment of milk bottles, pistol, and so on), which had been added by Cocteau (somewhat to the dismay of Satie). It is supposedthat such additions by Cocteau showed his eagerness to create a succès de scandale, comparable to that of Igor Stravinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps which had been premiered by the Ballets Russes some years before, and caused no less scandal.Although Parade was quite revolutionary, bringing common street entertainments to the elite, being scorned by audiences and being praised by critics, nonetheless many years later Stravinsky could still pride himself in never having been topped in the matter of succès de scandale. The ragtime contained in Parade would later be adapted for piano solo and attained considerable success as a separate piano piece. The finale is a rapid ragtime dance in which the whole cast [makes] a last desperate attempt to lure the audience in to see their showI have omitted the  percussion in my arrangement of the finale. The premiere of the ballet resulted in a number of scandals. One faction of the audience booed, hissed, and was very unruly, nearly causing a riot before they were drowned out by enthusiastic applause. Many of their objections were focused on Picasso's cubist design, which was met with cries of sale boche.Arranged wind dectet/bass (double wind quintet).

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.924181 By Queen. By Freddie Mercury and Frederick Mercury. Arranged by E.Gonzalez. Rock. 22 pages. Gonzalez Music #3532959. Published by Gonzalez Music (A0.924181). Bohemian Rhapsody is a song by the British rock band Queen. It was written by Freddie Mercury for the band's 1975 album A Night at the Opera. It is a six-minute suite,[1] consisting of several sections without a chorus: an intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock part and a reflective coda.[2] The song is a more accessible take on the 1970s progressive rock genre.[3] It was reportedly the most expensive single ever made at the time of its release, although the exact cost of production cannot be determined.[4]When it was released as a single, Bohemian Rhapsody became a commercial success, staying at the top of the UK Singles Chart for nine weeks and selling more than a million copies by the end of January 1976.[5] It reached number one again in 1991 for another five weeks when the same version was re-released following Mercury's death,[6] eventually becoming the UK's third-best-selling single of all time.[7] It is also the only song to be the UK Christmas number one twice by the same artist.[8] It topped the charts in several other markets as well, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and The Netherlands, later becoming one of the best-selling singles of all time selling over 6 million copies worldwide. In the United States, the song originally peaked at number nine in 1976. It returned to the chart at number two in 1992, behind Kris Kross's Jump, and also appeared in the film Wayne's World, which contributed to the revival of its American popularity.

String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1092025 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Christmas,Easter,Sacred,Wedding. 7 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #696159. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1092025). This easy arrangement for string ensemble was adapted to be simple to perform and understand the structure of the original work for various levels of musical knowledge. It can be played freely by beginning students due to the ease imposed on the piece; however, this does not preclude it from being played by professionals and music teachers. It is also ideal for academic recitals, weddings, student method and ceremonies that are arranged in the same way as the piece contains. The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast, it was the last and only one scored for solo voice. This is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different choral melodies and texts in the second and sixth movements. A cantata is a sung symphony consisting of several parts, one of which is the Arioso, which is the initial instrumental part.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1025147 Composed by Kirk O'Riordan. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 71 pages. Kirk O'Riordan #4357421. Published by Kirk O'Riordan (A0.1025147). Twenty-six Preludeswas composed for Holly Roadfeldt between September 2013 and April 2014. Unlike the famous preludes by composers like Bach, Chopin, and Debussy, mine are not organized by key. Instead, they are organized by threads: compositional ideas that are developed over the course of the entire set. Composing the set in this manner allowed me to develop several ideas concurrently with the idea that they would in some way merge together by the end of the set, giving the several disparate ideas a real reason to exist together in the same set. In addition, because I was not using key as a resource, I was not constrained by the number 24. The end result is a cycle of preludes that is in some ways more closely related to a Schubertian song cycle than to the Preludes of Chopin, Bach, or Debussy. That is not to say that there is not a close conceptual connection with the Preludes of those masters (there are subtle references to each of those composers in the score), but my intention was to treat the Preludes in a cyclical fashion rather than, as is the case with Bach and Chopin, an exploration of the nuances of the 24 keys. The preludes were not composed in the order that they are presented. Some of them came in quick bunches: two or three in a day; others took longer. In addition to developing the compositional threads, I was interested in creating a wide range of moods that also held together as a set. Overall, the moods become more intense as the set unfolds. The premiere performance was given by Holly Roadfeldt on November 18, 2014 at the University at Albany.   Approximate Duration: 46 minutesHolly Roadfeldt's recording of Twenty-Six Preludes can be found on her CD The Preludes Project (Ravello Records).

Piano,Tenor Saxophone - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1158463 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Film/TV,Instructional,Romantic Period,Traditional. Score and part. 7 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #758749. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1158463). This arrangement adapted for tenor saxophone e piano was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, in order to be performed by young music students who want to enter the symphonic music. Besides, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change of key, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as for use in ensemble practice between musicians of different traditions. Ludwig van Beethoven began concentrated work on his Symphony No. 7 in A major Op. 92 in 1811, it was completed in 1812, and was dedicated to Count Moritz von Fries, and premiered in Vienna on December 8, 1813. It is considered a remarkable example of the more ebullient side of Beethoven's compositional personality and evidence that even after the onset of deafness, he still found cause for musical optimism. The second movement Allegretto is a funeral march in everything but name. Often several contrasting melodic ideas are made to coexist, as if Beethoven were imagining several processions converging on the cemetery at the same time. As he was working on this symphony during the years of the Napoleonic Wars, this experience was probably within his experience. It was also used as the soundtrack to the film Knowing, by director Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage, where it is used in the final scene of the film. Beethoven called Symphony No. 7 his most excellent symphony, and a music critic of the time reported, this symphony is the most melodically rich and the most pleasing and comprehensible of all Beethoven's symphonies..

The single was commercially successful, peaking within the top 40 on several music charts. My name is Willem Aarts, and I have been arranging music since 2016. Brass Ensemble Trombone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813475 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Concert,Standards,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 26 pages. Regis Bookshar #6264889. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813475). Canon in D (Pachelbel) (D) (Trombone Quintet) - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This selection, Johann Pachelbel's celebrated Canon in D, is perhaps the most famous canon ever written and has been one of my favorite compositions to arrange. A canon is a polyphonic device in which several voices play the same music, entering in sequence. Pachelbel's Canon in D, was originally written in the key of D Major and was scored for three violins arranged in canon, accompanied by a basso continuo which repeats the same harmonic progression throughout the entire piece. The common musical term for this is ostinato or ground bass. Regis Bookshar has now arranged this music for a Trombone Quintet. Three Trombones play the melody in canon while the ostinato accompaniment is played by the other two.Trombones. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but could also be performed by professional performers. It is perfect for concerts and church services, especially for Weddings, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (26 pages). This version is written in the key of D Major, as is the original version, but, if you prefer, another version, written in the key of Bb Major, to make it a little easier for some younger performers, is also available. Other versions of Pachelbel's Canon in D have also been arranged by Regis Bookshar and are available for a wide variety of instrumental Quintets and Octets, in both the keys of D Major and Bb Major. I think that String players would probably prefer to play the versions in the key of D Major while the Brass and Woodwind musicians might prefer to play the Bb Major versions. I hope you take the time to compare the different versions to find the right version for you. To help you decide which version, or versions, you may want to choose, I have included several musical samples for you to listen to and to hear what these arrangements may sound like and so that you may compare the various arrangements. Also, just to let you know, the Octets written in the key of Bb Major have full-length recordings while the Octets in D Major and all Quintets have only the first 25 measures, or so, available to hear. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar which are also available. There are quite a few other arrangements in a variety of styles and I'm certain you will find something else which might interest you as well. Please keep checking because I plan to continue to add new arrangements as often as I can. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D will be a challenge to some performers but will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Inspiration, the second track on Barbara's award winning Beginnings album, is an instrumental piece with a magical quality that has received rave reviews. It was inspired by a song from the early 1900's, yet during creation became its own piece entirely. The composition features bells and strings to complement the piano. The song is classical and baroque sounding in some parts followed by relaxing, contemporary piano to form a dramatic and beautiful mix of music.Barbara's music is played on Pandora Radio and several prestigious piano and new age radio stations. Her current album, Beginnings, is charting in the Top 20 on several radio stations and the Zone Music Reporter Top 100. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1145782 By Barry Manilow. By Richard Kerr and Scott English. Arranged by Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica). Contemporary,Pop,Rock,Singer/Songwriter. Score. 4 pages. Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica) #745983. Published by Unimusic Academy (Academia Unimusica) (A0.1145782). Mandy is a romantic song that has had several versions. It was recorded for the first time in 1971, with the title Brandy by Scott English, however, it achieved popularity with the version of the American Barry Manilow in 1974, being his first song to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and his first golden song.12 In 1992 Italian music producer Marco Parmigiani produced a Eurodance version on 12-inch vinyl. It was released in Italy on the Disc-O-Very Records label, and a year later it was published in Spain on the mythical Barcelona label Max Music. The version sounded a lot in the Valencian discos of the 90s. It was later re-recorded by the Irish group Westlife in 2003, becoming the number one version of the UK chart. The song also appeared in several movies, such as Can't Hardly Wait, being performed by various characters. One theory is that because of Manilow's alcoholism, Brandy became Mandy. Scott English is thought to have written Brandy after his favorite dog that he let get away. English claimed (as quoted in The Billboard Book of Number One Adult Contemporary Hits) that an assistant phoned him early that morning to ask who Brandy was, and he angrily lied that it was a dog so that she would conversation will end quickly. When Manilow recorded Mandy he was not satisfied with the electronic rhythm of the original English version, so he preferred to sing it as a ballad and was much more pleased with the results. The song was parodied on Gift Grub under the title Andy on The Drew Carey Show, where the name Mandy is replaced with Kyra. Who also performed a parody of Mandy was the German singer LaFee at the age of 13. Thanks to this imitation, called Handy, it was that a music producer discovered her in a singing contest for children in Germany. Korean actor, singer and model Jang Keun Suk sings this song during the movie You are my pet It also appeared in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (originally aired November 2006), and in an episode of The Simpsons, Homer sings it to Margo as Oh, Margo. Years later, in an episode of Family Guy, Manilow himself sings Gregg a version of his song, Oh, Quagmire..
