Choral Choir (SSA) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927059 Composed by Debbie O'Shea. Children. Octavo. 4 pages. Debbie O'Shea #3106875. Published by Debbie O'Shea (A0.927059). 2017 Choral Contest EntryThe inspiration for a children’s choral work about this magical part of the world was born during the time I lived in Cairns. I am sure visitors to the area share my wonder, and it is my hope that some of the power, beauty, spirituality and enchantment is conveyed through the music. I love the sounds and the sometimes surprising harmonies created by using the Phrygian mode. Published by Travis Hayman (A0.951692). Victory March is the fight song for the University of Notre Dame. The Rev. Michael J. Shea, a 1905 Notre Dame graduate and organist at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, wrote the music, and his brother, John F. Shea, who earned degrees from Notre Dame in 1906 and 1908, wrote the original lyrics. At the behest of his former music teacher, Professor William C. Hammond of Mount Holyoke College, Rev. Shea would first perform the song publicly on the organ of the Second Congregational Church of Holyoke, Massachusetts, where Hammond was music director, soon after completing the composition with his brother in the winter of 1908. The song would first be performed on Notre Dame's campus on Easter Sunday, 1909, in the rotunda of the Golden Dome.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.944518 Composed by George Shearing. Arranged by Aldo Martinez. Contemporary. Octavo. 9 pages. Aldo Martinez #6111273. Published by Aldo Martinez (A0.944518). Lullaby of Birdland is a jazz standard and popular song composed by George Shearing with lyrics by George David Weiss George Shearing wrote Lullaby of Birdland in 1952 for Morris Levy, the owner of the New York jazz club Birdland. Levy had got in touch with Shearing and explained that he'd started a regular Birdland-sponsored disk jockey show, and he wanted Shearing to record a theme which was to be played every hour on the hour. Levy originally wanted his own music to be recorded, but Shearing insisted he couldn't relate very well with it and wanted to compose his own music. They compromised by sharing the rights of the song; the composer's rights went to Shearing, and the publishing rights went to Levy.
