These melodies appeared when I was out walking, raking leaves in the garden, or enjoying summer days by the sea. The melodies evolved and grew and were clad in harmonies, a context, and lyrics. The final result turned out to be a Missa brevis, the short mass you are now holding in your hand. The different movements can be sung together on the same occasion, or one by one.
