Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.889439 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Baroque,Christmas,Concert,Standards. 12 pages. Luis Anjos Teixeira #4763223. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889439). Menuett No. 6 was originally  written for pianoforte.   Because of its caracter, It can work perfectly as an introduction piece or for a little surprise encore in the end of a concert.  It is also very easy to play, very appropriate for music students and beginners. And of course righten by no other than Mozart it is the perfect  piece for great artists and performers. The original score was written for the pianoforte. I did an arrangement for woodwind quintet and made an extent use of interpretation symbols like fortes and pianos, crescendos etc., wish where total absent in the original score.  I also had to shorten the length of some notes in order to facilitate the interpretation of the piece on woodwind instruments. Otherwise all the original notes are left unchanged.  The score was written on Finale.  The sound file, was performed with samplers from Garritan and conceived as an audio support for the presentation of the score. This is the first time that this version is published in Sheet Music Plus or anywhere else. Thanks to Claudia Eppelt for the all the Love the wonderful Art cover and design. Special Thanks to Stray Dog Nina, Stray Queen Mimi, Carlinhos, Maria Pontinha, Mary Jane, Schwarzenegger, Maria Koboldinha, Blue Man, Joeā€¦  For all Living beings on Earth, for all our Ancestors,  Thank You for all of You  All Your Love and Compassion. Love Forever. Luis Anjos Teixeira Disclaimer: The score was written on Finale. B-Flat Clarinet,Bassoon,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1195142 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Chamber,Classical,Comedy. 92 pages. RayThompsonMusic #794318. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1195142). Arranged symphonic wind dectet/bassA Musical Joke (in German: Ein musikalischer SpaƟ) K. 522, (Divertimento for two horns and string quartet) is a composition by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; the composer entered it in his Verzeichnis aller meiner Werke (Catalogue of All My Works) on June 14, 1787. Commentators have opined that the piece's purpose is satirical ā€“ that [its] harmonic and rhythmic gaffes serve to parody the work of incompetent composers ā€“ though Mozart himself is not known to have revealed his actual intentions. The title A Musical Joke might be a poor rendering of the German original: SpaƟ does not necessarily connote the jocular, for which the word Scherzwould more likely be used. In Fritz Spiegl's view, a more accurate translation would be Some Musical Fun. The sometimes-mentioned nicknames Dorfmusikantensextett (village musicians' sextet) and Bauernsinfonie (farmers' symphony) were added after Mozart's death. The piece consists of four movements and takes about 20 minutes to perform. Allegro (sonata form), F major Menuetto and trio, F major (trio in B-flat major) Adagio cantabile, C major Presto (sonata rondo form), F major Ā  In a modernised version by Waldo de los Rios, the opening of the finale of A Musical Joke was used for many years as the theme tune to the BBC's Horse of the Year Show. The mp3 is of the Finale.

Small Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811822 Composed by W. A. MOZART (1756 - 1791). Arranged by Pat Spence. Classical,Concert,Graduation,Holiday,Wedding. Score and parts. 100 pages. Piper Publications #6657067. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811822). The Divertimento, originally for an orchestra (flute, oboe, bassoon, 4 horns and strings) was completed in June 1772 in Salzburg.  It was probably written for an outdoor performance and Mozart certainly made full use of the opportunity to display his remarkable talents both to his prospective patrons and his talented fellow musicians who would have performed this extensive six movement piece. There are six movements, Allegro, a substantial sonata form piece; Adagio, a  sophisticated piece written for strings only; a gem of a Menuetto with three trios; Allegretto; a Menuetto with 2 trios and a final Adagio - Allegro molto - Allegro assai forms the grand finale. The scale and sophistication of this piece is far beyond that of the early symphonies which Mozart composed around the same time. The arrangement is suitable for advanced and advanced intermediate players. In editing and arranging the Divertimento for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn it has been necessary to add phrase marks (shown in dashed lines) and extra staccato dots - not indicated. The lack of dynamic markings especially in the latter movements has been remedied in parentheses ( ). Some octave transpositions both up and down have been necessary and the glory of the four horn sections of the original have been re-scored as sympathetically as I am able.I do hope that quintet players will enjoy this arrangement of a very remarkable piece.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549869 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Classical,Concert,Standards,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 57 pages. Jmsgu3 #3559131. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549869). Beethoven Sonata Op. 49 No. 2 arranged for brass quintet. Duration: ca: 10:15 Score: 30 pages, 242 measures. In two movements. A great recital piece to demonstrate the many subtle nuances of the brass quintet. Sonata Op. 49 No. 2 Arranged from Beethovenā€™s Piano Sonata No. 20, this is a simple but interesting work in two movements showing the composers sense of humor. The first movement Allegro ma non troppo and the second movement Tempo di Menuetto are both in the key of G. Both Sonatas 19 and 20 (op. 49, No. 1 & 2) are named Easy Sonatas because they are technically easier than the usual Beethoven Sonatas. This makes them very popular among students and teachers alike. Beethoven Background Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 ā€“1827) was certainly a German pianist. Above all, he was probably one of the greatest composers in history. As a result, he is a pivotal character in the progress between the Classical and Romantic periods. He is certainly one of the most famous and hence important of all composers. Seems like his most familiar and noteworthy works include symphonies 1-9; piano concertos 1-5; and furthermore, the violin concerto. Also, certainly of extreme importance are the noteworthy 32 sonatas for the piano; the string quartets 1-16; the Missa solemnis; and likewise, his only opera, Fidelio. Beethoven Overview First of all, Beethoven was born and consequently raised in Bonn. Upon turning 21 he moved to Vienna probably to study composition with Haydn. Thatā€™s when he consequently grew a reputation as a brilliant pianist. Furthermore, he probably stayed in Vienna the rest of his life. In his late 20s it seems like his hearing certainly began to decline. It slowly declined until consequently he was nearly totally deaf probably by the last decade of his life. As a result, he stopped conducting and performing. Nevertheless, he continued to compose. As a result, some of his greatest works probably come from this period. First Period Seems like we often divide Beethovenā€™s life into three periods. Period 1 begins with Beethovenā€™s arrival in Vienna. Hence, during this period, he mastered the Viennese style of Haydn & Mozart. He consequently began increasing the size and scale of his works. Furthermore, he experimented with extreme dynamics, and likewise extreme tempi. He worked similarly with chromatic harmony. His First and Second Symphonies therefore belong to this period. Other important works also belong here: the first six string quartets and the Sonata PathĆ©tique, Op. 13. Second Period His second period probably began as soon as he realized that he was going deaf. During this period, it seems like he became obsessed with the idea of heroism. His works consequently become even larger and more massive. The most noteworthy of these include the symphonies 3 ā€“ 8, piano concertos 5& 6, 5 string quartets, several important piano sonatas (Waldstein and Appassionata), the Kreutzer violin sonata, the violin concerto and his only opera: Fidelio. Third Period In contrast, Beethoven's third period is branded above all by works of incredible intellectual depth, formal innovation, and penetrating expression. It seems like he continued to expand his works. Consequently, the string quartet Op. 131 spills over into seven connected movements. Likewise, in the Ninth Symphony he adds choral forces to his orchestra probably for the first time in history. Even more, other works from this period include his Missa solemnis, the final 5 string quartets (including the enormous GroƟe Fuge) and the final five sonatas for piano.     www.jamesguthrie.com.

Small Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811734 Composed by W. A. MOZART (1756 - 1791). Arranged by Pat Spence. Classical,Concert,Graduation,Standards. Score and parts. 46 pages. Piper Publications #5712847. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811734). The last of 5 Divertimento composed as Tafelmusik (to accompany diners) for the Bishop of Salzburg between 1775 & 1777. The five works are far superior to the usual music written to accompany meals and deserve a place in the concert repertoire. The original scoring for pairs of oboes, horns and bassoons with quite demanding parts for the oboes and bassoons and little interest for the horn players may also help to explain why these Divertimenti have been neglected. This arrangement shares out the musical interest more evenly and shows each instrument off to advantage. Players of intermediate ability or above will enjoy  playing the four movements, Allegro molto, Andantino, Menuetto (Moderato) with Trio and Presto.

RayThompsonMusic #698372. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1094287). Arranged wind QUINTET: New Horn in C basso created. (Alt Horn in F provided) The Wind Trio for two Oboes and English Horn in C major, Op. 87 is a trio composition by Ludwig van Beethoven written in 1794, shortly after he arrived Vienna. Because amateur performers would gather in unusual permutations of players, this Trio was quickly arranged for many other combinations of instruments: versions exist for two violins and bass line, two flutes and viola, two clarinets and bassoon, as a sonata for violin and piano, and in various piano settings. In 1806, Beethoven approved an arrangement (not by him) for two violins and viola, which was published that year. It was assigned the misleadingly-high opus number of 87, which would seem to place it near the Seventh Symphony; in fact, this music was written before Beethoven had published his Opus 1.
