Ob. Cl. Bsn. - Intermediate - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM511 Composed by Graham Nelson. Oboe Clarinet and Bassoon. Score and Parts. 19 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM511. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM511). ISBN 9790570484102.My fascination with the timbral qualities and myriad colours of the woodwind family was the stimulus that led to the creation of these two short pieces for this combination. Composed a number of years ago, both have been revised in the light of experience gained over the passage of time. Aside from the fanfare-like opening, each Miniature is cast in ternary form. The harmonic language could best be described as neo-tonal but with a chromatic twist (notably in the second). Melodic opportunities are shared consistently between the three instruments, often being extended by imitative interplay or antiphonal exchange (especially in the first). A recurring rhythmic motif in both pieces - a dotted quaver idea in the former and a triplet quaver figure in the latter - helps to bind the texture together. The descriptive titles are intended to convey the underlying character of each: 'The Dancing Doll' should sound bright, breezy and playful, whereas 'The Doleful Doll' is much more introspective and reflective in mood. Finally, the technical and musical demands in the two Miniatures should be within the capabilities of players of intermediate to advanced standard.

Piano,Violin - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.548518 Composed by Wade. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Christmas. 4 pages. Jmsgu3 #3388143. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.548518). O Come All Ye Faithful arranged with new harmony for the final verse. Score: 3 pages, part: 1 page.O Come, All Ye Faithful O Come, All Ye Faithful is an English translation of the Latin Christmas carol Adeste Fideles. No one knows exactly who wrote it. One theory holds that King John IV of Portugal (1604–1656) wrote it. Another theory says John F. Wade or John Reading wrote it. Nowadays, we usually attribute it to John Wade. Seems like Stonyhurst College in Lancashire owns the oldest manuscript. It is from the year 1751. Lyrics Frederick Oakeley, a Catholic priest in 1841 wrote the English translation. This translation is probably the most common in the English-speaking states. To begin with, the hymn had only four verses. Later, the verses grew to eight. Music directors often cut various verses because otherwise, the song goes too long. Some believe that St. Bonaventure wrote the first Latin lyrics. Others hold that King John IV of Portugal is responsible. Yet even others think the Cistercian monks wrote them. King John IV His subjects called King John IV of Portugal The Musician King. He became king in 1640. In addition to performing the duties of a king, he composed and wrote as a music journalist. King John built a very large music library. Unfortunately, the massive earthquake of Lisbon ruined the library in 1755. In addition to building his library, the king started a Music School that produced many accomplished musicians. The king also worked diligently to get instrumental music approved by the Vatican for use in his churches. Aside from his authorship of Adeste Fideles, he is famous for another popular choral setting of the Crux Fidelis, a prevalent Lenten hymn. Performance in Context Verses are sometimes left out because all eight verses would take too long to perform. More to the point though, some of the verses may be unsuitable for whatever of the church calendar they are intended. The eighth verse deals with the Epiphany, so it makes sense to sing this on Epiphany Sunday, but not other Sundays. Similarly, other verses are used according to whether the event is Midnight Mass or regular daytime Mass.

1 Piano,4 Hands,Piano Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1077244 By Sharon Wilson. By Garrett Wilson. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Jazz,Pop. Score. 15 pages. Sharon Wilson #681412. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.1077244). This one piano, four-hands duet is easier to play than it sounds and is an intriguing recital piece. The PRIMO has a few above-staff ledger notes and the timing is a little tricky in places, but aside from these few measures, both parts are suitable for early intermediate players with the SECONDO being slightly easier than the PRIMO. This piece demonstrates the effect of purposely placed rests: listen for the frog to jump, pause, then jump again. The purchase price includes the 6-page score with combined PRIMO and SECONDO parts on each page (as shown in the preview) plus an alternate format with the PRIMO and SECONDO parts on separate pages (4 pages each). Duration is just under 2-1/2 minutes.Visit Sharon Wilson's website: www.SharonWilsonMusic.comSubscribe to her YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/user/SharonWilsonMusic

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1004734 Composed by Adrian Gagiu. 20th Century,Classical. Score and parts. 524 pages. Adrian Gagiu #6631587. Published by Adrian Gagiu (A0.1004734). Fourth Symphony in E flat major Homage to Beethoven (2003, revised 2021), a Neo-Classical symphony based on Beethoven's sketches for his Tenth Symphony, like a speculative reconstruction. In 1822-1827, the fascinating Tenth Symphony (Biamonti 838) was one of Beethoven’s relatively advanced projects, but still it was at the beginning of its elaboration. The material is not quite abundant, and many secondary features in the concept sketches could have been modified, according to his working habits, should he have lived a few years more. For a true reconstruction, the sketches are too scarce, but they are also too good to be left aside and very stimulating for a composer, especially for one whose formation is indebted to Beethoven and who is willing to pay him homage. I have chosen a Neo-Classical idiom, an approach analogous to Stravinsky’s The Fairy’s Kiss (after Tchaikovsky). For such a work, the thorough study of fundamental articles on Beethoven’s projects and sketches (by Barry Cooper, Sieghard Brandenburg, Robert Winter, Martin Staehelin, Nicholas Cook, and Lewis Lockwood) was a necessity. Then, in 2021, the symphony was heavily revised, mainly to make it terser and truer to the sketches and to Classical practices For this symphony, all the thematic material is Beethoven’s, and also the general outline, as much as the latter could be inferred from his sketches. In its revised version, I made use only of the sketches clearly identifiable as intended for the Tenth Symphony and dating from 1822 and later years (most of the themes of its corresponding movements), but also of a few other sketches, most of them contemporary or relatable, unused or intended for other compositions: in the continuation to the second subject group in the first movement, in the second strains of the Presto and of its Trio, and in the transitions and the episodes in the Finale. The symphony has 4 movements and is scored for a normal concert orchestra, including 3 trombones. The revised version makes use also of a contrabassoon, to support the double basses and suggesting a stronger presence of the winds like in the larger scale concerts in the Classical era (usually with doubled winds).Total duration: 34 min. Performing Rights Organization: SOCAN. The mp3 audio clip is a recording of the first movement (Andante-Allegro-Andante).

Published by Wehrli Publications (A0.991993). Recording duration: 4:04. Recording excerpt begins at measure 1. Prelude 7 is the seventh of 15 works available in the Book of Preludes: 1-15 for Piano, a collection of character pieces by keyboardist, author, educator, and Wehrli Publications founder, Barry Michael Wehrli. These evocative preludes resemble the short, expressive pieces of Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy, but possess elements of later styles such as 20th century, new-age, jazz and more. Aside from their value as outstanding new performance repertoire, advanced students and professionals are discovering the pedagogical value of the Preludes as they make their way into state teaching organizations across the country such as CAPMT (California) and UMTA (Utah). Teachers often search for new and appealing serious music for their piano students. Yet such music is hard to find. The complete Book of Preludes offers nearly an hour of diverse music, each prelude creating its own unique sense of musical journey. All preludes contain damper and sostenuto pedal indications, bar numbers, suggested fingering, and tempo and dynamic marks reflecting the composer’s recorded performance. Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1412899 Composed by Clay Burnett. 21st Century,Classical. Score. 7 pages. Clay Parker Burnett #983593. Published by Clay Parker Burnett (A0.1412899). The final movement in a collection of three pieces for piano. This piece serves as a resolution to the previous movement, the nocturne. It begins with a series of repetitive notes and chords that is at first a bit unpredictable as to where it is headed. It then moves to a somewhat formless and disjointed melody with frequently changing time signatures but then quickly transforms into a cheerful and resolute theme, then a brief aside that allows the performer to show off his technical skills, and then back to the determined and driven, yet cheerful theme that concludes the cycle with a happy ending.
