String Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1299870 Composed by Claude Debussy. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. 20th Century,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic,Standards. 14 pages. Jmsgu3 #889630. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1299870). INSTRUMENTATION: 2 VIOLINS, 2 VIOLAS, 1 CELLO, 1 CONTRABASSBerceuse Heroique is a musical composition by Claude Debussy, composed in 1914 as a homage to King Albert I from Belgium and his soldiers. The piece was written for King Albert's Book, a collection of music sponsored by The Telegraph and put together by Hall Caine to raise funds for Belgian war relief. The work opens very dark and somber, with a sense of mourning and loss. The anthem is quoted in the middle of the piece, surrounded by music of gloom and despair. The quote from the Belgian national anthem that is squeezed into Debussy's Berceuse heroique is the first phrase of La Brabançonne by François van Campenhout. The composition expresses the misery of feeling powerless in events, combined with everyday unhappy shortages of necessities, which was a common experience during World War I. The life of French composer Claude Debussy was full of agony and challenges, from surviving in the 1st World War to his battle with cancer.Berceuse heroique is a significant piece in music history for its reflection of the somber and melancholic mood of the time, its tribute to the soldiers and their suffering, and its representation of Debussy's work during the war. The piece is still performed and recorded today, and is considered a significant work in Debussy's oeuvre.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.894031 Composed by Wynn-Anne Rossi. Contemporary. Score. 15 pages. Abundant Silence #6291155. Published by Abundant Silence (A0.894031). For Solo Piano, Early Advanced, 13 PagesNotes from the Composer: Theme & Ten Variations was the result of my curiosity as a composer. It was self-assigned in an effort to deepen my own understanding of musical connectivity. There is a lot of math and manipulation in this composition, making it a good choice for analysis. However, musical communication is far more complicated than connectivity. Each short says something in particular to the performer. I might name the theme Less is more. The first variation communicates a daring sense of risk. And so on. Of course, this is delightfully subjective! Some of these variations are technical beasts. Find your own tempos as you delve into this work. Musical ownership and self-discovery are the ultimate goals. Each short says something in particular to the performer. Ukulele Ensemble Ukulele - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.492433 By Elvis Presley and Joe Dowell. By Ben Weisman, Bert Kaempfert, Fred Wise, and Kay Twomey. Arranged by Steph Payne. Broadway,Children,Folk,Multicultural,Musical/Show,World. Score and parts. 3 pages. Steph Payne #107694. Published by Steph Payne (A0.492433). This bright and pleasant song was arranged for beginner ukulele quartet but can be easily played by most C instruments (the lowest note is G3 and the highest note is C5). It is in the key of C. The C6 ukulele parts include two high g tuned ukuleles and two low g tuned ukuleles. It all stays within the first 4 frets and is excellent for students in the early stages of sheet music reading. The parts are differentiated so they can be assigned to players based on your ensemble members' current playing skills. Only music notation has been provided but tabs are available by contacting the arranger by way of the website on the page. A note for teachers: Part 2 goes above the melody and it should be noted that it should not dominate over the melody at any time. This song came to fame in the young Elvis Presley's GI Blues movie when his character participates in a charming puppet show. It's well worth YouTubing!

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1094287 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical. 9 pages. RayThompsonMusic #698372. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1094287). Arranged wind QUINTET: New Horn in C basso created. (Alt Horn in F provided) The Wind Trio for two Oboes and English Horn in C major, Op. 87 is a trio composition by Ludwig van Beethoven written in 1794, shortly after he arrived Vienna. Because amateur performers would gather in unusual permutations of players, this Trio was quickly arranged for many other combinations of instruments: versions exist for two violins and bass line, two flutes and viola, two clarinets and bassoon, as a sonata for violin and piano, and in various piano settings. In 1806, Beethoven approved an arrangement (not by him) for two violins and viola, which was published that year. It was assigned the misleadingly-high opus number of 87, which would seem to place it near the Seventh Symphony; in fact, this music was written before Beethoven had published his Opus 1.

Published by ACORDO Sheet Music (A0.777983). An opening phrase of the first movement of this string quartet reminds one of greeting, which gives the music a nickname How Do You Do. 'Largo e cantabile' is an especially beautiful part written in G-minor. First Violin performs the main melody consistently, and accompanying part is assigned to Piano. Piano part is carefully arranged to be easy and natural, although it sticks closely to the original music. It is a masterpiece worth adopted for a solo performance.

Large Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1128641 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 30 pages. RayThompsonMusic #729243. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1128641). Arranged wind dectet/bass (double wind quintet) Mvt III Molto vivace The String Quartet in F major, Op. 96, nicknamed the American Quartet, is the 12th string quartet composed by Antonín Dvořák. It was written in 1893, during Dvořák's time in the United States of America. The quartet is one of the most popular in the chamber music repertoire. For the London premiere of his New World symphony, Dvořák wrote: As to my opinion I think that the influence of this country (it means the folk songs)) is to be seen, and that this and all other works (written in America) differ very much from my other works as well as in colour as in character,. A characteristic, unifying element throughout the quartet is the use of the pentatonic scale. This scale gives the whole quartet its open, simple character, a character that is frequently identified with American folk music. However, the pentatonic scale is common in many ethnic musics worldwide, and Dvořák had composed pentatonic music, being familiar with such Slavonic folk music examples, before coming to America Specific American influences have been doubted: In fact the only American thing about the work is that it was written there, writes Paul Griffiths.[21] The specific American qualities of the so-called American Quartet are not easily identifiable, writes Lucy Miller, ...Better to look upon the subtitle as simply one assigned because of its composition during Dvořák's American tour.
