Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1224308 By Isadar. By Isadar. New Age. Score. 63 pages. Mainya Music Publishing (BMI) #820403. Published by Mainya Music Publishing (BMI) (A0.1224308). Sounds like:  Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Vince Guaraldi, Liz Story, George Winston, early Windham Hill solo piano artistsTranscribed by:  David Shenton ( https://www.shentonmusic.com/ ) verbatim to the sound recordingContents:  1. Joyful Running  2. Fountain Of Life  3. Voice Of God (Thanksgiving)  4. Pocket Change  5. The Journey  6. Smoke Signals  7. Horseman's Thrill Ride  8. End Of The LineAlbum & Songbook review by:  Kathy Parsons (MainlyPiano.com):Isadar’s fourth solo piano album is a blend of smooth jazz and new age stylings, showing both his impressive technique and sensitivity to melody. Several of the eight selections are free-form and improvisational, revealing some of Liz Story’s influence on his music. Some of Isadar’s earlier recordings have very dark, moody sections, but this one stays fairly upbeat and optimistic without being ear candy. The music is complex enough to sink your teeth into, and yet is accessible enough to enjoy as a backdrop to a quiet dinner or an evening with a good book. Joyful Running begins the journey with an exuberant and uplifting piece that reminds me a little of some of Spencer Brewer’s bouncier compositions. Fountain of Life is a beautiful piece with a water-like flow that never stops in its 10 1/2 minutes. I listened to this CD several times without realizing that this song was that long. It flows and meanders so effortlessly that it seemed no longer than the other seven selections, most of which are between four and five minutes in length. Unstructured and free, this is one of my favorite tracks. I also really like the title track, which is even more abstract and unstructured. The tone is of searching and moving forward. End of the Line is my favorite on this album. Very introspective and contemplative, this seems to be a very personal piece. It is the most somber track, but one still senses hope despite the ending of something dear and important. Or maybe it’s simply the end of the journey and the dread of returning to real life - I feel this way on the last day of my vacations! It is a wonderful and moving closing to an excellent album. The companion songbook is expertly transcribed and engraved by David Shenton of New York Music Publishing. The layout of the music is clear and uncluttered, and the notation includes pedal markings and dynamics that allow the pianist to express the music as closely as possible to how Isadar played it on the recording.  A few of the pieces are quite long and require a more advanced pianist who is able to express the nuances that keep the recording so interesting, but several of the pieces are well within the capabilities of upper intermediate players.  Some of the rhythms are a little bit tricky, but the majority of the left hand parts are running eighth notes, which make it easier.  None of the key signatures are difficult, and none of the chords have a reach of more than an octave, making this music very playable for smaller hands.  My favorite pieces to play in this book are Joyful Running, Voice of God (Thanksgiving), Smoke Signals, and End of the Line.Isadar is an artist on both Enlightened Piano Radio & Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, the latter featuring some of today's biggest names in solo piano music, including Ludovico Einaudi, David Nevue, Brian Crain, Kevin Kern, Robin Spielberg, Michele McLaughlin, Philip Wesley and over 300 more... Also available as sheet music in physical songbooks, digital downloads, as well as software for Yamaha Disklavier player piano.

The Sicilienne is the most famous piece from the Pelléas et Mélisande Suite and is frequently played by significant orchestras today.Musical CharacteristicsThe piece is known for its conversational style for both cello and piano, and it exhibits chromatic movement to evoke a Renaissance aesthetic with the Sicilienne dance. It is also more complex than the typical song in terms of chords and melody, with above-average scores in chord and melodic complexity. In conclusion, Faure's Sicilienne is significant due to its historical background, influence on other composers, and unique musical characteristics.Dance and FabricThe term Sicilienne is derived from the French word Sicilienne, which means Sicilian. It is associated with a dance called the Siciliana and a kind of rich poplin fabric. Musical Style Sicilienne refers to a musical style or genre often included as a movement within more significant pieces of music, starting in the Baroque period. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818342 Composed by Darlene Zschech. Arranged by Stephen R. Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Contemporary,Sacred. Score. 18 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #6252777. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818342). The Potter’s Hand ♫ by Darlene Zschech ♫ with Spirit of God Descend Upon My Heart (lyrics by George Croly, melody MORECAMBE by Frederick C Atkinson) ♫ piano solo arrangement by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ With the images of the potter, the clay, and the pottery vessel, Isaiah answers the age-old question “What claim does God have on my life?†Nothing we see, hear, taste, smell, or feel would exist without the Creator. Neither you nor I would or could exist without Him. As a painter, sculptor, composer, designer etc. creates a masterwork for his or her own purposes, so we have a purpose beyond ourselves and our existence. ♫ But the images in Isaiah of the potter go beyond the functionality of the created objects, and the purpose and rights of the artisan. Darlene Zschech brings out the beauty and glory of being the masterwork of a true artist. ♫ A song of commitment and consecration, we need songs like this in our repertoire of worship, to urge us to go beyond the words of worship to the giving of our lives in worship. ♫ If our current worship music wasn’t so disposable, we’d be singing this song for many years to come. ♫ slide presentation by Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ This .pdf file includes 2 files: 1) Letter size piano score 2) Small page piano score for performing from a 10 inch tablet. String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1353485 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. 19th Century,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic,Romantic Period. 36 pages. Jmsgu3 #938223. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1353485). The Significance of Mendelssohn's Preludes and Fugues, Op. 37, lies in its role in developing the organ repertoire and reflecting Mendelssohn's compositional style. The work, written in 1837, consists of three preludes and fugues for organ. Here are some critical aspects of its significance: Mendelssohn's compositional style: The Preludes and Fugues, Op. 37, showcase Mendelssohn's unique style, characterized by a combination of Romantic expressiveness and Classical form. This style is evident in the structure, harmony, and melodic content.  Influence of J.S. Bach: Mendelssohn's Preludes and Fugues, Op. 37, are heavily influenced by the style of J.S. Bach, a composer Mendelssohn greatly admired. This influence can be seen in the pieces' counterpoint, harmonic language, and formal structure. Pedal technique: In Op. 37, Mendelssohn composed independent pedal parts that reveal a thorough understanding of the role of the pedals in organ music. For the first time, he composed pedal passages that required more than minimal competency, demonstrating his skill in writing for the organ. Expansion of the organ repertoire: Mendelssohn was an accomplished organist and wrote dozens of works for the instrument. The Preludes and Fugues, Op. 37, contribute to expanding the organ repertoire and demonstrate Mendelssohn's mastery of the medium. Historical context: The Preludes and Fugues, Op. 37, were written when Mendelssohn was also working on his Six Sonatas, Op. 65. This period of productivity and exploration of the organ medium further highlights the significance of Op. 37 in Mendelssohn's compositional output. In summary, Mendelssohn's Preludes and Fugues, Op. 37, are significant to music history due to their reflection of Mendelssohn's compositional style, influence by J.S. Bach, innovative pedal technique, contribution to the organ repertoire, and historical context within Mendelssohn's compositional output.

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1248560 Composed by Sawyer Isherwood. Contemporary. Score and Parts. 123 pages. Sawyer Isherwood #843049. Published by Sawyer Isherwood (A0.1248560). Tempest's Approach is a captivating wind ensemble composition that takes listeners on a dramatic journey through the atmospheric turmoil of a storm. The piece masterfully captures the essence of a tempest, skillfully utilizing a range of instruments and musical techniques to create a vivid sonic portrayal. The composition begins with a slow and tranquil section, symbolizing the calm before the storm. A poignant French horn solo emerges, drawing the audience into a serene soundscape. Meanwhile, other instruments subtly mimic the gentle patter of raindrops and the haunting whispers of the wind, creating an immersive atmosphere. As the tension builds, a duet between the euphonium and tuba ensues, serving as a transitional bridge into the impending storm. Dissonant brass chords punctuate the composition, mirroring the initial signs of lightning piercing through the darkness. The baritone saxophone then takes center stage, its haunting solo representing the gradual approach of the storm, with each note evoking a sense of anticipation. In a climactic turn, the percussion section bursts forth, meticulously replicating the tumultuous sounds of a raging storm. Thunderous rolls, crashing cymbals, and cascading snare drum patterns immerse the listeners in the chaotic energy of the tempest. The woodwinds join in with swirling sixteenth notes and trills, amplifying the sense of swirling winds and torrential rain.A shift to cut time signals a momentary respite, symbolizing the storm's brief slowdown. However, the tranquility is short-lived, as the composition quickly accelerates, portraying the intensification of the tempest. The ensemble conjures a maelstrom of sound, mimicking the violent peak of the storm with powerful rhythms and dynamic swells. Finally, as the storm gradually subsides, an alto saxophone takes up the melody once delivered by the French horn. Its somber solo, reminiscent of the opening, serves as a reflective moment, encapsulating the aftermath of the tumultuous weather. The composition draws to a close with a sense of calm resolution, leaving the audience in awe of the storm's raw power and beauty.Tempest's Approach is a captivating and dynamic wind ensemble composition that skillfully combines melodic storytelling, atmospheric effects, and powerful instrumentation to create a sonic narrative that brings the audience into the heart of a storm.
