Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1284659 Composed by James Nathaniel Holland. 21st Century,Contemporary,Opera. Score. 143 pages. James Nathaniel Holland #875835. Published by James Nathaniel Holland (A0.1284659). PIANO VOCAL SCORE.  This four act contemporary opera, original libretto and music, by 21st century American composer James Nathaniel Holland is the story of the triumph of Love over Evil, however delayed, and the power of keeping steadfast to one’s righteous promise.  Based on the German fairy tale The Six Swans, in a kingdom, during Saxon times, the murderous daughter of an evil entity, Ravia, infiltrates and takes over the lives of a royal family due to the King’s rash promise to marry her many years before. The royal children are sent away by their father for safety to a hidden, woodland cottage, but Ravia discovers where they are and hexes the younger siblings, turning them into swallows.  Usha, the eldest, escapes and flees to the wilderness and is visited by the apparition of her dead mother who explains what is going on and that Usha must swear an oath of silence for six years to break the spell and change her siblings back into human form.Five years pass and a dashing and kind king, Rohric, of another kingdom, finds Usha while hunting, falls in love with and marries her, but Usha must remain silent and cannot reveal who she is.  Ravia, who now is sole queen of the old kingdom, is invited by Rohric’s nobles with hope to secure a “proper” wedding for Rohric.  Usha is accused falsely of killing her own child by the two and is sentenced to be burned at the stake, but as the bell tolls she finally can declare her innocence.  To the crowd’s amazement her siblings change back, all truth is revealed, and for Ravia’s failure, she is dragged back to hell by demons.  Singers:  King Alfred (bass), Ravia (soprano), Princess Usha (mezzo), Queen Mother Arna (soprano), the royal siblings (children’s/boy’s chorus), King Rohric (Tenor), The Evil Noble (baritone), An angel/a demon (bass), SATB ChorusScored for full orchestra.  Instrumentation:  picc/treble recorder, fl12, ob12, eh, cl12, bsn12, hrn 123, tpt123, trom12, tba, timp, perc.12 (bd, crash cym, ride cym with soft mallets and stick, glk, chimes, snar, tri), hrp, stringsDuration:  2 hoursFull Orchestral Score (concert pitch), Piano Vocal Score and Instruments Parts 1 (woodwinds, brass, perc.) and Parts 2 (harp and strings) sold separately.

Small Ensemble Bass Guitar,Piano Accompaniment,Tenor Drum,Vibraphone,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1044838 By Mark R Lewis. By Mark R Lewis. Celtic,Folk,Irish. Score and parts. 46 pages. Mark R Lewis #649456. Published by Mark R Lewis (A0.1044838). This original song tells a fairy tail in the style of a Celtic folk song. Both the story and the tune are wholly original and were composed as part of a music production class that Mark participated in during the spring of 2022. This song tells the story of a young boy's adventure in the woods, his skepticism towards what the old folks say, and the results of his failure to listen to them. This piece by Mark Lewis is intended for a vocal soloist with two part vocal accompaniment. The voice parts are all written in treble clef for ease of reading but the Lead should be sing-able by most singers. The Upper Harmony should be sing-able by all except contraltos and true basses, and the Lower Harmony will sound best with altos, baritones, or basses. The instrumental parts consist of vibraphone, piano, bass guitar, and floor tom parts. Any mellow metallophone would be an appropriate substitute for the vibraphone and the bass guitar part can be played on almost any bass instrument. The optional floor tom could be substituted with any other lower, resonant drum available but should not be a short, sharp sound. All that said, both the vibraphone and bass guitar parts are mostly doubled in the piano or vocal lines so groups that do not have access to those instruments should still be able to perform this piece without concern. This piece is also available for SATB Ensemble. Vocal Range: d minor Lead - 1 octave (C3 to C4 or C4 to C5) Upper Harmony - 1+ octave (C3 to E4 or C4 to E5) Lower Harmony - 1+ octave (F2 to A3 or F3 to A4) Instrumental Range: Vibraphone - 1+ octave (D4 to E5) Piano - ability to reach at least an octave in both hands Bass guitar - 1+ octave (E2 to A3).

Small Ensemble Alto Voice,E-Flat Tenor Horn,Flute,Piano Accompaniment,Soprano voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767065 Composed by Mike Lyons. Christmas,Contemporary. Score and parts. 45 pages. Lyons Music Services #481445. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767065). A Christmas Carol first performed in 2006 and written for school age singers to perform. The instrumental parts can be adapted on request to any combination required. This is a lovely carol on original words in a pastoral style. The instrumentation is unusual and adds to the gentle mood of the piece. At 5 mins in length it is not too taxing on the voices or wind instruments. The first performance took place at Christmas 2006 at Wigan Parish Church, and it was sung by members of the school's senior choir and played by members of the school orchestra. Parts are included for Soprano 1, Soprano II, Alto, Tenor/F Horn, Flute, Piano and Voices & Piano.
