It's an instrument that resonates the wood directly, whereas string instruments make it vibrate. It's this blend that interested me.As for the piece itself, I started with cells, melodic melismas that I repeat, which transform like a sort of gigantic metamorphosis. There's a brilliant section in the middle, which is a bit like lace, organic and more raw than at the beginning. For the finale, the strings continuously vibrate open strings to give the impression of an orchestra tuning. Il s'agit d'une pièce pour quatuor à codes et marimba. Le marimba n'est pas soliste, mais intégré à l'ensemble. C’est un instrument qui fait raisonner le bois directement alors que les instruments à cordes le font vibrer, c'est ce mélange qui m'intéressait.Pour l'œuvre en elle-même, je suis parti de cellules, de mélismes mélodiques que je répète, qui se transforment comme une sorte de gigantesque métamorphose.Il y a une partie brillante au centre, qui est un petit peu en dentelle, organique et plus brut qu'au début. According to Levinson, few pieces of traditional music are more purely processive as this. It develops without a break or pause, without arrivals of significance, from beginning to end Good to play as well!! The Fugue Of course this Fugue should be in the key of Bb Minor, but to avoid all those nasty Fb's and E#'s etc the key has been altered just to make the music flow a little better in this instrumental combination (imho!), coupled with the time signature of 3/2, this Fugue should prove interesting in rehearsal! The four voices are distributed throughout the parts, and at 101 bars, it is certainly one of Bach's longest, and definitely one of the most enjoyable to play, especially in a generous acoustic.Also available here in Clarinet Quartet and Saxophone Quartet flavours!!

First my dog who day and night begs to go outside to play; the melody came to me while singing to myself about how he wished to play all day, no matter the time or weather.  Second, given how similar, play all day, was to, pray all day, I was reminded of Paul's final instructions in first Thessalonians, where he tells us to rejoice and pray continuously.  I realized then that this would be a perfect message for the upbeat melody, and endeavoured to turn my idle singing into a church anthem.

The tango was used inthe films 'Scent of a Woman' (1992), 'Schindler's List' (1993) and 'True Lies' (1994).This arrangement for Woodwind Quintet see the main theme shared across the ensemble with continuously flowing contrapuntal counter melodies.. However, the first violin has a built-in guide to the singer's entrances and exits to help the ensemble. The articulation proposed at the beginning can be modified as this always depends on the character you want to give it: more historical or more personal.The written dynamics are those corresponding to the original score, however, it is an accompaniment music that must continuously follow the musicality of the soprano.
