Disney's movie, Frozen is so popular, and the songs are, as usual, very popular too. This song is my favorite, even it's the most heart-breaking. It shows the lives of Elsa and Anna beginning as happy children, who enjoy each other's company. Elsa finds out that her ice powers are potentially harmful to her younger sister and is forced to isolate herself in her bedroom. Anna tries, unsuccessfully, to coax her sister out to play for many years. Then, they receive news that their parents have died at sea in a storm. Lonely and desperately unhappy, Anna knocks on her sister's bedroom door...

Scored for low flute choir - 4 altos, 2 basses and contrabass. There is an optional double bass part that doubles contrabass to help fortify it if needed. 

This arrangement is simple enough for musicians with intermediate playing skills, but it does require good breath support for the many long tones, and it also has a bit of syncopated rhythms.

“Madrigals for the Seasons†was composed especially for Cappella SF, Ragnar Bohlin, conductor. The theme of Longfellow’s great poem “Snow-flakes†is human loss and grief. The poetic structure is reflected in the musical phrase structure, with the resolution withheld until the end of each stanza. The mournful harmonies sung on a wordless syllable often accompany the main melodic line in various sections of the choir, who intone the full text. The mood of the madrigal is intensely sorrowful, as the speaker searches the sky for signs of God’s presence in the face of his grief.

Des pas sur la neige is a musical composition by French composer Claude Debussy. It is the sixth piece in the composer's first book of Préludes, written between late 1909 and early 1910. The title is in French and translates to Footprints in the Snow. This is a slow work, with a tempo set at or around 44 beats per minute.

For ease of performance, this arrangement has been transposed to the key of F minor. There are opportunities to have the audience listen for the motif of F - G - A flat; the first three notes of a minor scale, featuring at the beginning of the tune.
