Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.799139 By Of Monsters and Men. By Of Monsters and Men. Arranged by Dan Sanchez. Contemporary. Score and parts. 7 pages. Dan Sanchez #5026639. Published by Dan Sanchez (A0.799139). Thank you for checking out my Violin-Cello String Duet arrangement of Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men. This indie rock tune has a conversational melody that passes back and forth between the two players. We’ve played this for cocktail hours, and this also works well for a wedding recessional song! This is just one of my many special arrangements. Check out my full listing on Sheet Music Plus! I am always adding new items for String Duo, Trio, and Quartet. One thing that sets my arrangements apart from others is that I fit all of my parts on 2 sheets of music. This makes it so the songs can fit into a binder, without the need for flipping pages! Another great thing (for multi-instrumental arrangements) is that I include cue lines on each part, so that every player in the ensemble can see one other person’s music at the same time. This is so amazingly useful and has saved countless performances in the past. If someone skips a beat or misses a measure, you can now see where they are and reconnect! This also helps with sight-reading and keeping the group together in general.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.701446 Composed by Kevin G. Pace, Krista Mason Pace. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 2 pages. Kevin G. Pace #3121851. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.701446). An original hymn about Gethsemane. Text by Krista Mason Pace below.YouTube video: https://youtu.be/INofncV-FpU1. In the place Gethsemane, Jesus Christ so fair Spoke to His disciples there, Tarry here and watch with me. Falling on his loving face, Praying fervently; His Father’s will to offer grace; Suff’ring willingly.   2. Cometh then, He finds asleep Those he left to spare Agony and pain so rare Of his gift, that they may reap. Could’st thou not one hour stay Watchful as the meek? Thy spirit, willing, longs to pray For the flesh so weak.   3. Time would meet Eternity As He prayed to God. Angels sing of glory, laud, Honor born of charity. Drinking of the bitter cup; Father’s will be done. Determined he would lift us up; Thus did God’s own son.   4. Now I’m asked to watch and pray, Offer all my heart. I will choose the better part, That I might abide the day. Father help my heart to know; Help my eyes to see; Unveil and guide my wand ’ring soul T’ward Eternity

Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1022084 Composed by Bill Taylor music, Bill Taylor with Jaye Alison Moscariello, and Lyrics. Arranged by Bill Taylor. Broadway,Contemporary,Jazz. 3 pages. William R Taylor #6475595. Published by William R Taylor (A0.1022084). Release ©2006, lyrics©2010.  Bill’s mom Priscilla Alden Taylor (nee Rowe) passed on at age 90 in January, 2010.  This piece was one she loved, but the words did not come until 2 months after her death and 2 days before Jaye and I were to perform Mom’s song Every Time We Meet at the Anderson Valley Variety Show.  We sung it as best we could with so little practice time and in a key way too high.  This version is transposed down a fifth.  Listeners with parents who have gone on, and those who haven’t, may find some familiar themes here.  If inspired, support your local elder and/or hospice organizations. I love my children to be happy.  What’s new with you Mom?  Charlotte’s got a bakery. Hannah is teaching, playing in San Jose. Tom and Jeanne expecting, he’s flying a new plane. Lucy’s kids are doing well, I’m seeing Uncle Jay. My life is going on in a most pleasant way. When are you coming here to visit, it’s been way too long? When we were children everything was made into a song. Father’s jazzy flute, brother’s boogie woogie She left Julliard to help her family Factory in the war, music she wrote A job at Schirmers she met my Dad had 5 kids Trips to Vermont and Jersey and New York Kept house, school lunch, kind words, praising Now she is running and swimming Dancing and flying, she’s singing All new adventures, new worlds to learn and know Earth body left behind, all life is love and flow Walker made her so tired, shuffling oh so slow She learned to ask for help from all of us below Gathered her children all around her at her time to go Now she’s with her God.

Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1133711 By Various. By Anonymous, Giorgio Mainerio, Michael Praetorius, Pierre Attaignant, Pierre Certon, Pierre Phalese, and Tielman Susato. Arranged by Alastair Lodge. Early Music,Folk,Historic,Medieval,Renaissance. 50 pages. Wold Meridian #733808. Published by Wold Meridian (A0.1133711). This is a companion to my earlier volume Chording to the Dance Masters which presented 44 of my favourite Renaissance Dance band tunes and arranged them as a single melody line with chords derived from the original harmony lines. In this volume I have reunited 22 of the pieces with the lower parts in the score, so that with more collaborators, the fullness of the original arrangement can be heard. The chords are still present, so if the ensemble is short handed, and lines are missing, the arrangements will still work. What is more, by contrasting the melody and chords with the full scoring, it should be possible to work some light and shade into performances.  You can hear all the pieces and their chords on YouTube together with contemporary art and historical background material:https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYRWH2nycMkMoIoEYEMVPa_EXY6NVDpNSAs a help to those less confident in playing harmony lines, I have provided links to playlists of videos online for each part of each piece. You will hear the selected line on its own with chords and percussion, with the melody line added on repeats. The final repeat includes the other harmony lines, but the featured line is slightly louder in the mix. The performance starts with a percussion beat introduction to set the tempo.Who were the Publishers and the Dance Masters? What did they do? Sometime around the 1500s, the popularity of dance music exploded in Europe. Dance Masters were collecting chansons and dance tunes from courts and rural parts and were teaching these to new audiences, spreading their arrangements and reflecting the performance styles of the areas from which they had collected the tunes. Publishers were able to take these tunes that were becoming known across the regions and nations and spread them even more widely, thanks to technological innovations in music printing which made it quicker and therefore cheaper to produce collections of these dances in four or more parts. These publishers were often highly accomplished composers in their own right, who were both able to provide distinctive harmony lines and compose new tunes in the style of their sources, feeding the courts with enduring tunes. Composers and printers of this time would often use note values that are double the length of those we would be used to seeing today, and so to make this version more readable, breves have become semibreves or whole notes, semibreves have become minims or half notes and so on. Working with this publication For those just starting out in Early Music, the volume is an ideal introduction, since the ensemble can build from a soloist with accompaniment with the chords alone, and parts can be added in as additional musicians become available. Instrumentation for these pieces was not specified in the original prints. The range of each part is quite limited, and though the harmonies may seem strange at times, key signatures are kind to the less experienced musician. If enthusiasm takes hold, then reproductions of early music instruments are sold by some very talented makers, as well as coming up on auction sites. Otherwise, it is possible to put together a fairly convincing ensemble with recorders, violins, a cello and mandolins, bouzoukis, flutes or guitars and gradually introduce the authentic instruments as they become available.

Percussion Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811252 Composed by Antonio J. Garcia. Contemporary,Jazz,Latin,World. Score and parts. 119 pages. Gordon Cherry #6549777. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.811252). Two Dreams for Trombone and Percussion EnsembleDr. Justin Alexander (Director, VCU Percussion Ensemble) invited me to create a piece for trombone and percussion ensemble that had roles for more- and less-experienced players so that they could mix within the performance. I so enjoyed composing and performing this work. He estimates the overall difficulty grade of Movement I to be a three on a five-point scale and Movement II to be a four, with a grade four for the overall piece; but some players’ parts (within the eight total in the percussion ensemble) are indeed easier. The two Movements are approximately five minutes each. The first Movement  Bilita Mpash (An Amazing Dream) calls for (1) shekeré/guiro; (2) 5-octave marimba (shared with...); (3) 5-octave marimba (shared with previous); (4) claves/drum set with mounted cowbell; (5) bell/mounted cowbell/congas; (6) hi-hat/suspended cymbal; (7) bass drum; and (8) four toms/maracas.The Second Movement (Running with the Tigers) calls for (1) xylophone; (2) vibraphone/glockenspiel; (3) 5-octave marimba; (4) drum set; (5) shaker/samba whistle/congas (opt. voice); (6) triangle/bell tree/hanging bells/agogo bells (opt. voice); (7) bass drum (opt. voice); and (8) Timpani (opt. voice). Pending difficulty levels, the conga and drum set parts can optionally be split among additional percussionists. The score notes offer a stage plot and many rehearsal tips.Bilita Mpash (An Amazing Dream)The 3-2 Rumba Clave anchors this movement, launched by the shekeré. Rhythmic vamps of multiple bars form the landscape over which the trombone’s melody emerges, followed by a move to double-time 2-3 Rumba Clave (with montuno) and back. The trombone soloist improvises without chordal accompaniment for a while so could reflect on the preceding harmonies or instead freely improvise with no concern as to chord changes, while a later section requires improv over chord changes. After the recap, a surprise tag of the ending phrase in Cha Cha sets up the rubato finish. Bilita Mpash (BILL-it-uh m-POSH) is a Bantu term for an amazing dream, a dream so good that it is the polar opposite of a nightmare-a dream in a blissful state where all is forgiven and forgotten2. Running with the TigersThe opening, written-out marimba solo is somewhat of a nod to vibist Gary Burton’s influence in bringing mallets towards the expression of modern jazz. A 9/8 samba-groove (5+4) transforms to 4/4. None of the percussionists have to have a jazz background, though the drum set player would be more challenged if not already exposed to Latin drumming. The improvised solo section could be all solo trombone or could be divided among various performers, including trading. The recap of the tune begins over 5/8 samba (3+2, later 2+3). The closing arrhythmic drum-set solo crescendos as the optional surprise of percussionists’ (or additional) voices sing at the end. The title of this movement refers to a recurring dream my dad would have, as well as to the active movements of my grandson when sleeping in his earliest years.-Antonio J. GarcíaInstrumentation is for:Solo Trombone and 8-part Percussion Ensemble:shekeré/guiro, 2 5-octave marimbas, claves/drumset with cowbell, bell, congas, hi-hat, suspended cymbal, bass drum, toms, maracas, xylophone, vibraphone, glockenspiel, shaker, samba whistle, congas, triangle, bell tree, hanging bells, agogo bells, bass drum and timpani. This rhythmic and dramatic work includes improvisation by the Trombonist. Listen to the brilliant live performance featuring Mr. Garcia and the Virginia Commonwealth University Percussion Ensemble directed by Dr. Justin Alexander.

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1383550 By The Shadows. By Bruce Welch and Hank Marvin. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop,Rock. 23 pages. Derek Hasted #968000. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1383550). FOOT TAPPER (The Shadows) - 3 GUITARS or LARGE ENSEMBLEFor Classical Guitar - also suits Acoustic Guitar or Electric GuitarDerek Hasted writes It’s a bit of a blast from the past, but this is a really “under-the-fingers†piece that lives up to its name.My arrangement for 3 early intermediate guitars is devoid of the drum part, so a few extra notes have been added and a few empty bars removed, so that continuity is assured where the short drum breaks of the original took place. That apart, the speed, the key and the structure of the original are all here.Guitar 1 is the tune, and I’ve lifted it up an octave in the slow section so it’s easier to hear amongst the strummed chords, which can be quite heavy sounding on a classical guitar.Guitar 2 is the rhythm guitar part - all the chords are named, so that a school ensemble teacher, for example, can suggest 3- or 4-string versions of the big chords here. And you may find the usual first position G chord is less tiring than the barré version here, though it will sound a little bass-heavy.Either or both of the treble clef and bass clef versions of Guitar 3 can be played. In a large ensemble, having both will give a bigger sound. This exudes foot tapping happiness…I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Choral 2-Part Chorus,Choir,Choral - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1512378 Composed by Samantha Jellett. Children,Christian,Easter,Lent. 56 pages. Samantha Jellett #1087378. Published by Samantha Jellett (A0.1512378). A Time to Rejoice! is a dramatic and poignant cantata for schools/children's choirs and piano (organ accompaniment also available) in which performers and audience embark on an exciting journey through time to witness the events of the first Easter.  The time machine is somewhat unreliable, adding humour to the story, and stops are made in the Garden of Eden and Bethlehem before arriving in Jerusalem for Palm Sunday and the events of the crucifixion.  The optional second parts greatly enhance the cantata and can be sung by a group of children or even an adult choir.Whilst not a staged production, there is plenty of scope for acting in the roles of the Captains, and props such as tea lights for the opening procession, pilots' hats for the Captains and palm branches in the song The King is Coming.A Time to Rejoice!  was premiered by St. Joseph's in the Park school, Hertingfordbury, UK on 17 March 2023.  Here are some comments from staff/parents:'A Time to Rejoice! was amazing...the best production St. Joe's has ever put on' Deputy Head.'An absolutely amazing evening! Such beautiful music so beautifully performed.  What an absolute joy from start to finish' Parent.'It was a pleasure to be involved in what was a resounding success and moving account of the Easter story' Organist.'We enjoyed it so much and it was a real triumph.  The children were so good and buzzing!' Parent.'It was worthy of a West End production.  Absolutely amazing!' Parent'What a wonderful cantata!  I was so impressed, what a lovely evening' Staff member.'I thoroughly enjoyed the Easter cantata: your compositions were beautiful and dramatic in equal measure' Bursar.

Kevin G. Pace #810732. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1213541). A sublime, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.  The text to this hymn is in reference to the miracle when Christ passed through the hostile multitude.  See Luke 4:28-30.Text:On a Sabbath day, and in the synagogue,Jesus said revealing words unto a gathered throng:“I am sent to bind up broken-hearted souls,And to publish liberty, to make all captives whole.â€â€œI am God’s own Son,†was ref’renced as He spoke. But the worshippers that day desired His words revoked.Seeking for a sign, a miracle to show,Was their true intention then, so they would surely know.Jesus did decline to grant this selfish gift,So the mob determined to propel Him from a cliff.Jesus’ miracle was passing through unseenFrom this crowd in Nazareth, so He could be set free.Jesus walked away to fill our ev’ry need.He performs true miracles and for us intercedes. So we can be free, He freed Himself that day.As He passes through our lives, we see and learn His ways.

Pace #911120. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1322852). A beautiful, sacred, original Christmas hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Krista Mason Pace.Text:Silent Night, Holy Night, bright star above, For whom are you silent or holy in love? The babe in the manger surrounded by hay? Could He be The Wonder still sought in my day? The chorus of angels that pierce through your veil, You welcome them humbly, your silence a trail. Their presence and glory grants holiness now; No wonder those shepherds so reverently bow.Silence then there again widens the glow; A silence to wonder that many will know, And holier still is the stillness inside; When silencing hearts that too often have cried. So silent a whisper, so holy a call; The wisemen come seeking one blessed above all. Their gifts grant a blessing to help in the way; Can they even imagine the depth He would pay?The world's not silent or holy just now. It takes conscious effort to reverently bow. I welcome you Silent Night, Holy Night. Star; Come dwell deep inside me. I feel who you are. The chorus of angels that piece through your veil. You welcome them humbly, your silence a trail. Their presence and glory grants holiness now; No wonder those shepherds so reverently bow.
