Contemporary,Film/TV,Halloween. 15 pages. Louke Publishing #4794613. Published by Louke Publishing (A0.736296). Flute Choir Theme from BewitchedProgram Notes Theme from Bewitched is from a television situation comedy originally broadcast from 1964 to 1972 about a witch who marries an ordinary mortal man and vows not to use her magical powers.  It enjoyed great popularity, staying in the top ten for its first three seasons, and is rated one of the top 50 greatest television shows of all time.  Even though the theme was performed as an instrumental with flutes playing a prominent part, it was written with the following lyrics: Bewitched, Bewitched, You've got me in your spell. Bewitched, Bewitched, You know your craft so well. Before I knew what I was doing I looked in your eyes That brand of woo you've been brewin’ Took me by surprise. You witch, you witch, One thing is for sure. That stuff you pitch Just hasn’t got a cure. My heart was under lock and key, But somehow it got unhitched.I never thought my heart could be had But now I’m caught and I’m kinda glad To be bewitched. TVTelevisionTelevision Theme SongsHalloweenScarySpookyWitch1960s SitcomSitcom  This flute choir arrangement can be performed with as few as 6 players or a full flute choir with multiple players on a part.  It is scored for piccolo, 3 flutes, alto flute (alternate c-flute part included), and bass flute.  Phyllis Avidan Louke is a flutist and award-winning composer and arranger with more than 70 published pieces to her credit.  www.phyllislouke.com

String Ensemble,String Quintet Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813718 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 9 pages. Regis Bookshar #6474565. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813718). Jupiter (Andante Maestoso from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets) (String Quintet) - Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's The Planets, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts and recitals but if you are considering using this selection for church services in which a congregation may sing along, I would suggest that you look for the arrangements of either I Vow to Thee, My Country, O God, Beyond All Praising, O Spirit All Embracing or Thaxted, also by Regis Bookshar. They are all based on the same excerpt from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets. These arrangements are suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing these selections as well. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (9 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. We have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The Planets, written between 1914 and 1917 by the English composer Gustav Holst, premiered at the Queen's Hall in London, on September 29, 1918 for an invited audience of about 250 people. In the fourth movement, Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity, Holst portrays Jupiter's supposedly characteristic abundance of life and vitality. Nobility and generosity are allegedly characteristics of those born under Jupiter, and in the slower, middle section marked Andante Maestoso, perhaps the most well-known theme from The Planets (and the theme on which this arrangement is based), Holst provides a broad tune embodying these traits. In 1921, Holst adapted the theme to fit the patriotic poem I Vow to Thee, My Country by Cecil Spring Rice, and was written as a unison song with orchestra. It did not appear as the hymn tune until 1926, when Holst harmonized this melody, named Thaxted, named after the English village where he had lived for many years. Holst's friend Ralph Vaughan Williams included it in Songs of Praise. It has since been performed at numerous occasions, most notably for the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales in 1981, and also at the funerals of Princess Diana in 1997, Margaret Thatcher in 2013 and Senator John McCain where it was performed at the Washington National Cathedral on September 1, 2018. In addition to being used as the melody for the solemn, patriotic hymn I Vow to Thee, My Country, other settings of this hymn tune also include O God, Beyond All Praising, by Michael Perry in 1982, O Spirit All Embracing by Delores Dufner in 1995 and We Praise You and Acknowledge You, O God, a paraphrase of the Te Deum Laudemus by Stephen P. Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version and this version for a String Quintet, consisting of 2 Violins, 1 Viola, 1 Violoncello (which has the lead) and 1 Double Bass, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. There are Quintets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are added as often as possible. Choral Choir (SSAA) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1259757 By Pentatonix. By Johan Carlsson, Johan Jens Erik Carlsson, John Bellion, Jon Bellion, Jonathan David Bellion, Kevin Olusola, Kristin Maldonado, Mark Williams, Matt Sallee, Matthew Sallee, Mitchell Grassi, Raul Cubina, Ross Golan, Scott Hoying, Sean Meier, and Sean Myer. Arranged by Karen Wilson. 21st Century,A Cappella,Contemporary,Pop. Octavo. 10 pages. Karen Wilson #853033. Published by Karen Wilson (A0.1259757). This is a fabulous song by Pentatonix which I have arranged for four-part (SSAA) a cappella voices, although sometimes the voice parts split.  It can be sung with or without the body percussion as I know it's sometimes difficult to do both at the same time!Whilst in the original Pentatonix song, Scott Hoying has most of the solos, I have arranged this so that all voices get the chance to sing the main melody.  The bass part is not the most interesting(!) as the whole song is built over a repeating two-bar phrase (four chords).  However, in this arrangement, I have managed to give them the main melody at bar 30 and at bar 61 they are the only voice-part to sing Mitch's parting tune - it's the basses' time to shine!I have two versions of this song available.  The other version (Product Number 1355563) is easier to sing.  If you want a challenge, this is the version you should try!  It's as close as I could get to the original.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.982521 Composed by Francesco Paolo Tosti. Arranged by Christina Pepper. Romantic Period. Score. 4 pages. Christina Pepper #6427135. Published by Christina Pepper (A0.982521). Paolo Tosti, composed Sogno in 1886, one of many great Italian 'salon' songs. It was originally written for voice and piano, but has been re-arranged here as a piano solo so that pianists may enjoy playing this masterpiece themselves. The translated Italian text:I dreamt that you were on your knees Like a saint praying to the Lord. You were looking deep into my eyes, With a glowing look of love. You were speaking quietly, Asking me sweetly for forgiveness. That she be allowed just one glance, You begged, curled at my feet. I stayed silent and, with a strong will, Fought the irresistible desire. I had faced martyrdom and death; Still, I forced myself to say no. But then your lips touched my face, And my heart betrayed me. I closed my eyes, reached out to you; But I had been dreaming, and that beautiful dream vanished.

During the Baroque period (c. 1600 to 1750) music written in the Italian style, and German music to a lesser degree, scores and solo parts contain little (if any) information about elements like articulation, ornamentation or dynamics, so the soloists and ensemble players needed to make their own informed choices before each performance. The English horn I & II arrangement part offers dynamics, articulations, ornamentation and nuances of tone color as to how to effectively present the composition and can help the performer to build on these ideas to effectively communicate the sense of the music ... 2020 Chamber Ensemble of Minnesota, Inc. Saxophone Quintet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813773 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,Contemporary,Sacred,Standards,Wedding. 9 pages. Regis Bookshar #6476685. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813773). Thaxted (Bb) (Saxophone Quintet) - Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of Thaxted, a hymn tune based on the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's The Planets, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for church services, especially Weddings and Funerals, but would be appropriate any time during the church year. However, if you are looking to perform this selection for concerts or recitals, I would suggest you look for the arrangement of Jupiter (Andante Maestoso from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets), also by Regis Bookshar. Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version and this version for a Saxophone Quintet, consisting of 2 Alto Saxophones (one of which has the lead), 2 Tenor Saxophones and 1 Baritone Saxophone, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Thaxted based on the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's.

Baritone voice and piano - Moderately Easy - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8826-2E Composed by Gwyneth W. Walker. African American Heritage. 5 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8826-2E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8826-2E). English.I’ve Known Rivers is a multi-movement work, comprised of songs based on four different poems by Langston Hughes (1902–1967). Though he lived much of his life in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City, Hughes was born in Missouri and raised in Kansas, Illinois, and Ohio. At age seventeen, he traveled to Mexico to live with his estranged father. As he crossed the Mississippi River, he was inspired to write The Negro Speaks of Rivers, which begins “I’ve known rivers….,†and is the text for the first movement, “My Soul Has Grown Deep.†It reflects upon rivers of historic and geographical importance—the Euphrates, Congo, Nile, and Mississippi. As the rivers have endured over time, so has the human soul. The waters—the blood—runs deep.In contrast to the universal message of the first song, “Troubled Water,†which uses the poetry of the same title, is contemporary and personal. Water becomes an image of the unsettled and uncertain nature of love. The journey of love is a journey of troubled water. There is no resolution.Undaunted by the elusive nature of love, the poet, heard via the chorus, turns flippant, displaying a persevering and humorous outlook in “Jump Right In!†(to the river) from Hughes’ poem Life is Fine. Romantic misadventures will not conquer the spirit. “I could’ve died for love, but for livin’ I was born.â€â€œIn time of silver rain,†once more using the poem of the same title, is a song of healing. With the regeneration of spring, the poet marvels at the wonder of life.Though intended to be performed as the complete multi-movement work I’ve Known Rivers, each song may be performed separately. Duration: 12:00.Contents:My Soul has Grown DeepTroubled WaterJump Right In!In Time of Silver Rain.
