While I wrote them with the powerful artistry of the dedicatee, Steve Beck, in mind, I wanted them to also be approachable for everyday playing—a combination of virtuosity and ease that brings to mind the Italian word sprezzatura (a studied nonchalance).

I thought it was appropriate now  as we finally start to move out of restrictions that we have seen and experience over the last year and a half.     Shindig Shenanigans is a great concert opener or encore piece to your concert  and gives the players plenty to work with both technical and melodically.                  .

It is named Waters of Life because I think it sounds like the calm and serenity of a river, but then gets more intense as the river moves more swiftly. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do.
