Acoustic Guitar,Flute,Viola - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1317395 Composed by Franz Joseph Haydn. Arranged by Nick Stokes. Chamber,Classical. 37 pages. Nick Stokes #906057. Published by Nick Stokes (A0.1317395). This arrangement is of a light 2 movement piano trio by Haydn. It goes for about 10 to 15 minutes (depending on if you do repeats). It has a number of delightful and catchy tunes and has plenty of energy in the presto movement.   It is for what I think is the best combination of instruments involving guitar in chamber music - flute , viola & guitar. the level of difficulty is probably in that order too , with the flute doing the lion’s share of the tunes, the viola doing a fair amount of double stops and some secondary tunes and the guitar not too hard but involving some grand barres and half barres and requires tuning the low string down to Eb.  This version has a many tone colours to explore and is very light in the bass which I find makes for a sparkling sound . All the players are busy and get to have solos, which is sometimes a complaint of cellists playing Haydn piano trios where the requirement at the time seemed to be to make the music work with or without the cello being there.   I hope other guitarists and amateur musicians find it fun and worthwhile putting the time in to learn and perform it. I feel the best of Haydn will never sound old and the basic structure is so solid that it has been used for centuries since he was alive and creating. Maybe this arrangement will allow a fresh listen to this particular piece.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.895228 By Ray Parker Jr. By Ray Parker Jr. Arranged by Fernando Ramos. Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Fernando Ramos #6587947. Published by Fernando Ramos (A0.895228). Hear it on YouTube:https://youtu.be/TznAa_pqMdEI make piano solo arrangements for my students of songs that they love! My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music, but most importantly, that it actually makes pianistic sense. Sometimes I even hide exercises in the arrangements that I want a student to work on. All of my arrangements are usually made for a specific student, so the results will always vary. This arrangement was made for a late intermediate student, Moderately Difficult III, working on Level 5 of the Alfred's Masterwork Classics series. Timing is everything on this piece. I recommend experimenting with the pedal to bring a little more fun and contrast. In other words, less pedal throughout the performance except for adding color and texture. My student chose this piece on a whim for our Halloween event, but as soon as he started learning it, he became addicted and couldn't stop practicing it until he had it down! It really is super fun to play!Pedal and fingering suggestions are included.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.938286 Composed by Sharona Clarke. Concert,Contemporary,Instructional,Standards. Score. 3 pages. PianoBea Publishing Inc. #6734085. Published by PianoBea Publishing Inc. (A0.938286). A piano boogie with an original LH pattern, this superfun piece provides a good workout for the left hand. Some unexpected chromatic passages and crushed notes make this even more appealing. How did I come up with the title? I wrote this song and I really liked it – and I really like fries, dressing and gravy! So it was fitting! Yum!  Educational Piano Music by Sharona Clarke. Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.827213 Composed by Fiona Caldarevic. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary. Score. 7 pages. Fiona Caldarevic #4575731. Published by Fiona Caldarevic (A0.827213). On The Seventh Hill is a piano composition in rondo form with a strong melody and surprising chord progressions. It starts off simply but when the melody repeats the left hand part starts taking off and both hands are busy from then on. I wrote this piece when I first moved back to Sydney to the suburb of Seven Hills, so named when its first farmer declared it the seventh hill from Parramatta, an early city west of Sydney. Having just moved here from a small country town, I look out at Sydney from the top of that hill and the vastness of good things to come that I can envisage is what inspired this music.

Saxophone Quintet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813832 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Contemporary,Folk,Romantic Period,Standards. 19 pages. Regis Bookshar #6533927. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813832). Largo (from Symphony No. 9 in E minor) (From the New World) (Db) (Saxophone Quintet) - Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of the Largo, based on the second movement of Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services, especially Funerals, but would be appropriate any time during the church year. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (19 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from the The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95 (subtitled From the New World and popularly know as the New World Symphony), was composed by Antonin Dvorak in 1893 while he was the director of the National Conservatory of Music of America from 1892 to 1895. It premiered at Carnegie Hall in New York City on December 16, 1893 and has been described as one of the most popular of all symphonies. The second movement of the symphony, upon which this arrangement is based, is marked Largo, and begins with a harmonic progression of chords which is then followed by a solo instrument playing the famous main theme.Dvorak was interested in Native American music and the African-American spirituals he heard in North America. While director of the National Conservatory he encountered an African-American student, Harry T. Burleigh, who sang traditional spirituals to him. Burleigh, later a composer himself, said that Dvorak had absorbed their spirit before writing his own melodies. Dvorak stated:    I am convinced that the future music of this country must be founded on what are called Negro melodies. These can be the foundation of a serious and original school of composition to be developed in the United States. These beautiful and varied themes are the product of the soil. They are folk songs of America and your composers must turn to them.He further explained how Native American music influenced his symphony:  I have not actually used any of these (Native American) melodies. I have simply written original themes embodying the peculiarities of the Indian music, and, using these themes as subjects, have developed them with all the resources of modern rhythms, counterpoint, and orchestral colour. In 1893, a newspaper interview quoted Dvorak as saying, I found that the music of the negroes and of the Indians was practically identical, and that the music of the two races bore a remarkable similarity to the music of Scotland. Most historians agree that Dvorak is referring to the pentatonic scale, which is typical of each of these musical traditions.Dvorak was influenced not only by music he heard, but also by what he had seen, in America. He wrote that he would not have composed his American pieces as he had if he had not seen America. It has been said that Dvorak was inspired by the wide open spaces of America, such as the prairies he may have seen on his trip to Iowa in the summer of 1893. Notices about several performances of the symphony include the phrase wide open spaces about what inspired the symphony and/or about the feelings it conveys to listeners. The theme from the Largo was adapted into the spiritual Goin' Home (often mistakenly considered a folk song or traditional spiritual) by Dvorak's pupil, William Arms Fisher, who wrote the lyrics in 1922. Regis Bookshar thought it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to this version for a Saxophone Quintet, consisting of 2 Alto Saxophones, 2 Tenor Saxophones and 1 Baritone Saxophone, he has made quite a few other arrangements.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1102026 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Classical. 7 pages. RayThompsonMusic #705419. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1102026). Beethoven Country Dances Beethoven wrote 12 Country Dances WoO14 for orchestra .(composed 1791 - 1802.) They are all quite short: some have trios. Douze Contredanses (Fr.) or Zwölf Contretänzes (Ge.) They are probably better known as  a set of 3 piano pieces called  Contre-Tanzes  which are noted frei bearbeitet von Isidor Wilhelm Seiss (freely adapted by  Isidor Wilhelm Seiss) Arrangements of those pieces are available on this site. I have arranged the first six dances by Beethoven for wind quintet. I have used Beethoven’s natural horn parts as a guide for my horn part, so each dance has a horn part for a different natural horn. I also include a horn part in F Some of the dances have parts for clarinet in A.(I have included a clarinet in Bb part for those cases) Dances are as follows, with melody instruments listed No.1in C major (Hn in C basso) Melody flute/oboe No.2 in A major (Hn in A) Melody oboe No.3 In D major (Hn in D)( Clt in A) Melody clt, fl, ob) No.4 in Bb major (Hn in Bb alto) Melody Clarinet No.5 in Eb major (Hn in Eb) Melody horn/clarinet No.6 in C major (Hn in C basso) Melody Flute/Clarinet A complete book of all six dances is also available.

Solo contrabassoon, piano, and orchestral winds - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CBW208-S Composed by Daniel Baldwin. Score. 45 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CBW208-S. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBW208-S). 9 x 12 in inches. Many years ago I was on a flight to another premiere and had the pleasure of sitting next to a sonic engineer. It was a fascinating conversation talking about the different aspects of his career and hearing him expound on the similarities between our chosen professions.Ever since that flight, I wanted to write a Sonic Rhapsody. I had originally thought of having it be a more esoteric piece, exploring different sonic colors and effects. Instead, for this Sonic Rhapsody, I decided to fill a hole in the contrabassoon repertoire. This wonderful and deserving instrument has so little concerto repertoire and most of the pieces that do exist are quite difficult (and none for orchestral winds accompaniment). This Sonic Rhapsody features a lyrical and approachable contrabassoon duo feature (with piano) to include a brief cadenza for each soloist. Sonic Rhapsody for Contrabassoon, Piano, and Orchestral Winds is dedicated to the wonderful artists who commissioned, recorded, and made this piece possible.

Cl.pft - Intermediate - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM424 Composed by David Osbon. Clarinet and Piano. Score and part. 14 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM424. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM424). ISBN 9790570483235.In the early 1990s I composed a work for clarinet and piano entitled 'The Revenge of Marsyas' which was a very political work inspired by the ancient Greek legend of Apollo, Marsyas and the theft of the 'gift' of music. All of which I discovered whilst working as Music Director on 'The Trackers of Oxyrinchus' at the National Theatre Studio. What I loved about this play, by Tony Harrison, was the brilliant use of comedy for dramatic effect. And that is what I've tried to bring to these two works. In Cabaret Song we have the rather comic antics of Marsyas and his fellow Satyrs then, in Marsyas Dances, the main protagonist - represented by the clarinet - performs a dance that celebrates the liberation of music from the Gods, so that it can be shared amongst the rest of society. It didn't end well for Marsyas, but at least the rest of us get to keep the music!

Published by Melanie B Guerin (A0.854331). Written for the unpublished musical Too Many Wishes by Steve Jones, this song is about a mother's simple wish for her child.A scientist, a doctor, or an astronaut,An action-packed adventure with an epic plot,A life of happy endings, A fairy tale and dreams that all come true,Well maybe I should wish these things for you.Class president, philanthropist, and CEO,The greatest minds to marvel at the things you know,A love that's everlasting,A roaring crowd that cheers and calls your name,And riches might be nice, but just the same,The grandest dreams I'd dream for youWould surely pale beside the taleOf deeds that you will do,So in these quiet momentsWhen I tuck you in and leave you with a kiss,I simply wish you this:Only happy, only kind,Only brave enough to speak or change your mind,Only safe and sound,Only wild and free,Only sure about what you mean to me,Only good.
