In this song cycle, I aimed to spread an ironic message to reflect the loss of humanity of human using the poems about winter by Mr. William Shakespeare for text painting.The key of the featured song Blow, Blow Thou Winter wind is B minor. It portrays a cold and miserable feeling. The first phrase Blow, blow, thou winter wind shows a blowing effect especially in the work blow in the voice part. This makes the phrase more flowing. The second verse heigh-ho! Sing, heigh-ho! Unto the green holly describes a resonant sounding effect. The second phrase Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly criticizes the dark side of friendship and love, so the key changes back to minor, which serves as a contrast to the previous phrase. The main idea of this verse: this life is most jolly ends with a major to emphasize the description of numerous negative feeling with hope and joy.

ISBN 9790570484225.This piece was written many years ago while I was a student at the Royal College of Music, but it received its first professional performance in 2014, in a concert at St. John's Smith Square. It falls into two strongly contrasted sections, each with its own character. The opening Andante should be played as smoothly as possible, and requires careful control of dynamics and intonation, as well as a perfect blend of tone; the Allegro is full of exuberant energy, and needs clear articulation and rhythmic precision. The 1st and 2nd clarinet parts are quite equal with the material divided evenly between them, so that the piece is suitable for two players of similar standard, and should appeal to a wide range of clarinettists. The clarinet quartet arrangement of Break Forth, O Beauteous, Heavenly Light, was made for the 2018 Holiday Contest Entry. Martin Luther developed the Lutheran chorale, a religious hymn sung in four-part harmony by the congregation as part of the service. Break Forth, O Beauteous, Heavenly Light was written by Johann Rist and Johann Schop in the mid-17th century, so that by 1734, when Bach included it in his Christmas Oratorio, it was well known to congregations. The harmonization, however, is Bach ‘s own. The arrangement remains faithful to the original facsimile of Bach. It is transposed for a modern clarinet quartet.  Variations in loudness and the duration of musical notes are the basic elements to musical expression. A few interpretation symbols where added to shorten some of the notes.  Breathing between music phrases is notated.  and the final was stretched with one more bar for a ralentando effect.  This details are only suggestions for an interpretation.    The piece is appropriate for beginner students or amateurs and without any doubt very pleasant to listen when played by an experienced ensemble. Utilizing a wah pedal and some tastily placed feedback he unleashes a beast of a solo, with some super fast shredding in between some truly tasty blues-inflected licks (both hallmarks of his early soloing style).
