String Ensemble,String Trio Cello,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1047067 By George Beverly Shea. By Swedish Folk Melody. Arranged by Sandy McIntire. 20th Century,Easter,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Traditional. Score and parts. 11 pages. Sandy McIntire #651581. Published by Sandy McIntire (A0.1047067). The Swedish folk melody, O Store Gud, became the source for the hymn, How Great Thou Art. That melody is arranged here for an INTERMEDIATE STRING TRIO (Violins I and II and cello). This file contains separate sheet music for each instrument as well as a score. This arrangement is appropriate for prelude, offertory, or postlude in worship and memorial services. Lyrics by George Beverly Shea (not included here) performed by Shea and Cliff Barrows during the Billy Graham crusades made the hymn a favorite in the U.S. and U.K. It was voted the United Kingdom's favorite hymn by BBC's Songs of Praise. How Great Thou Art was ranked second (after Amazing Grace) on a list of the favorite hymns of all time by Christianity Today in 2001.

Saxophone Quintet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Bass Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1474154 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Chamber,Halloween,Historic,Standards. 49 pages. Jmsgu3 #1051783. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1474154). The Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 565, is one of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous organ compositions. It follows a typical North German structure with three main sections - a free opening (toccata), a fugal section (fugue), and a short free closing section. The exact date of composition is uncertain, but it's believed to have been written before 1708. There is no surviving autograph manuscript. The oldest known source is an undated copy by Johannes Ringk, a student of one of Bach's pupils. It was first published in 1833 through the efforts of composer Felix Mendelssohn during the early Bach Revival period. It gained widespread recognition after being featured in Disney's 1940 film Fantasia, which Leopold Stokowski adapted for orchestra. The piece has become strongly associated with horror films and Gothic imagery in Western culture. The Toccata begins with dramatic flourishes and arpeggios, showcasing the organist's virtuosity. The fugue is characterized by overlapping repetitions of the central theme in different melodic lines. It employs simple triadic harmony but includes some unexpected elements, such as a C minor subject entry and a solo pedal statement.
