Small Ensemble Flute,Piano,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1073271 By Helene Schulthess. By Fanny Hünerwadel (1826 – 1854). Arranged by Helene Schulthess. Classical,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 24 pages. Helene Schulthess #677536. Published by Helene Schulthess (A0.1073271). The composer Fanny Hünerwadel (1826 in Lenzburg - 1854 in Rome) came from a long-established family of the town of Lenzburg. She was the eldest child of the doctor Johann Friedrich Hünerwadel and Regula Speerli, who were both enthusiastic music lovers. After first being taught by her mother, Hünerwadel learned to play the piano in Lenzburg with Philipp Tietz, Joseph Breitenbach, and Ludwig Kurz and belonged to the local singing society. From 1846 she studied piano, singing, music theory and composition with Hans Nägeli and with Wagner's friend Alexander Müller in Zurich. During her time in Zurich she made the acquaintance of Johann W. Kalliwoda, Richard Wagner, Ferdinand Huber, Franz Liszt, Franz Abt, Wilhelm Baumgartner and Henri Vieuxtemps. In 1852, she played Johann Nepomuk Hummel's Rondo brillant in a subscription concert of the Zurich General Music Society, which became the current Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra. For further studies, she traveled to Florence and Rome in 1853. In Florence she took singing lessons with Romani. In Rome in 1853 she was the guest of the artistic families Corrodi and Imhof and took lessons with the singing teacher Parisotti. Hünerwadel died of typhoid fever in Rome on April 27, 1854, and was buried there on April 30. Six of Hünerwadels seven preserved piano songs were published posthumously (in 1854). Her great-nephew was the composer, painter, and publicist Peter Mieg (1906-1990) Source: Wikipedia.

Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.748673 Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Mark Reeves. 20th Century,Film/TV,Multicultural,Wedding,World. Score and part. 13 pages. Mark Reeves #3029515. Published by Mark Reeves (A0.748673). Erik Satie's Trois Gymnopedies were written for piano solo but lend themselves perfectly to being played by other musical instruments too. Indeed, Claude Debussy arranged the first and third Gymnopedies for orchestra. These arrangements for flute with piano accompaniment would fit nicely into a school concert programme and are also perfect for wedding ceremonies. Performance time for each piece is approximately 2.5 to 3 minutes. Breath marks are not indicated, as the long phrases should ideally be played in one breath if possible. A separate part is supplied for the soloist. The composer's original autographed manuscripts have been used as the initial source material, along with the very first printed editions published in 1888 and 1895. Obvious errors in these first editions have been corrected and Satie's unconventional preference for distributing the notes of chords across both staves has been ignored in favour of grouping the notes together to facilitate chord recognition and performance. Cello,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111118 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Carlo Alfredo Piatti. Baroque,Chamber,Instructional,Religious. Score and part. 26 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #713394. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1111118). The first cello Suite by Johann Sebastian Bach is, possibly, the most well-known and played piece of the cello repertoire. Many composers have felt the need to add a piano accompaniment to these already perfect gems, often resulting in dull harmonisation exercises. This is not the case with Carlo Alfredo Piatti’s accompaniment, where many choices are clearly personal and original. This editions includes a full score and a solo part with Piatti’s fingering and bowing suggestions, while the Critical Notes explain Piatti’s source management.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.726032 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Todd Marchand. Christmas,Folk. Score and parts. 17 pages. Con Spirito Music #2958109. Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.726032). “On December Five-and-Twenty†brings together three folk tunes from different regions of Europe. The first, “Fum, Fum, Fum,†is a Catalan carol from northeastern Spain. The second, “Pat-a-Pan,†comes from the Burgundy region of east-central France. The third, “Touro-Louro-Louro!†comes from the Provence region of southeastern France. Each tune bears an onomatopoetic title (a word that phonetically imitates or suggests the source of the sound that it describes): The refrain “fum, fum, fum†in the Catalan carol is an onomatopoeia for the strumming of a guitar. “Pat-a-pan†— the title of the Burgundian carol — imitates the sound of a drum being struck. “Touro-louro-louro!†— the title of the Provencal carol — suggests the singing of birds. (A similar onomatopoeia, “turelurelu,†appears in “Pat-a-Pan,†suggesting the sound of a fife, or flute, being played.)This is a delightful arrangement that is enjoyable to play and pleasing to listeners. ©Copyright 2014 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.953621 Composed by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP). Celtic,Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 19 pages. Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) #4807817. Published by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) (A0.953621). One of the most powerful passages in scripture set to music! Good length for an anthem, interesting and idiomatic use of flute and harp, nice mix of beautiful melodic passages and crunchy bits!A Setting of Philippians 2:5-11 from New Revised Standard VersionFor SATB chorus, flute, and clàrsach (Scottish lever harp) or harp or pianoDuration approximately 5:00 The Letter of Paul to the Philippians 2:5-11 (NRSV)*Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death - even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. *New Revised Standard Version Bible, copyright © 1989 National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. Used by permission. All rights reserved.Composed by Adrienne Inglis in 2014 and premiered in 2014 in Austin, Texas, by the Westminster Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Choir, In Heaven and on Earth for SATB chorus, flute, and clàrsach, draws inspiration from the tune Love is the Cause of my Mourning from The Caledonian Pocket Companion Book 1, p. 27. The piece opens with the tune altered to G mixolydian mode. As the word exploited appears, a sinister-sounding E flat enters the harmony. Open octaves between soprano and bass show the emptying, followed by a shift to E phrygian mode with the word slave. Several dissonances emerge as the narrative gets darker. The flute and clàrsach represent chaos or hell with an aleatoric interlude of extended techniques involving tongue rams, flutter tonguing, multiphonics, spoken syllables, and lever glissandi. The harp then joyfully proclaims the new tonality of G major in a fanfare to introduce the text of praise and exaltation. The original source tune returns harmonically restored to G major.

Brass Quintet Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1249439 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Chamber,Christian,Easter,Historic. 29 pages. Regis Bookshar #842456. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1249439). Three selections based on Christ lag in Todesbanden (Christ lay in death's bonds) (from Cantata No.   4, BMV   4) - Johann Sebastian Bach - Brass Quintet (3 Trps, 1 Trb, 1 Tuba) - Advanced /Intermediate - Digital Download.Cantata No.   4, BMV   4, Christ lag in Todesbanden (also spelled Todes Banden) (Christ lay in death's bonds) is a cantata for Easter written by Johann Sebastian Bach and is his earliest surviving Church Cantata. It was probably written in 1707 when he was 22 years old. It is a Chorale Cantata, a style in which both the text and music are based on a hymn. In this instance, the source was Martin Luther's hymn of the same name which became a main Easter hymn in German Lutheranism.Regis Bookshar has transcribed and arranged three selections based on this hymn tune, two from Bach's Cantata No.   4, BMV   4, and also his Chorale Prelude, BMV 625. They may be played individually or as a trilogy and each movement is more complex than the previous one. The first selection in this trilogy is the Chorale, Christ lag in Todesbanden, the final chorus from his Cantata No.   4, a straightforward four-part chorale setting of the hymn (Regis has also added a fifth part).  This is followed by Bach's Chorale Prelude, BMV 625, a piece from his Orgelbuchlein (Little Organ Book), a collection of 46 Preludes for organ, written almost exclusively during the 1708-1717 period, while Bach was court organist at Weimar. For the final selection, Regis has placed the polyphonic and imitative chorus, Es war ein wunderlicher Krieg, da Tod und Leben rungen (It was a strange battle, that death and life waged), which Bach had placed in the middle of his Cantata No.   4.This arrangement is for a Brass Quintet, consisting of 3 Bb Trumpets, 1 Trombone and 1 Tuba. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (29 pages).I hope you will enjoy playing these selections and please search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar. There are numerous selections in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. I think you will be pleased with what you may find.

Trumpet (in Bb) and piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q15274 From the Idyll At Twilight. Composed by Zdenek Fibich. Arranged by Wolfgang Birtel. This edition: Sheet music. Edition Schott - Single Edition. Downloadable. Op. 39. Schott Music - Digital #Q15274. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q15274). The reputation of the Bohemian composer Zdenek Fibich (1850-1900) has always been somewhat overshadowed by that of Bedrich Smetana and Antonín Dvorák. This is a pity, for Fibich, though he died young, made an equally important contribution to the emerging Czech national styl with his wide range of compositions. After starting piano lessons with his mother as his first teacher, the boy went on to music school in Prague and then to the Leipzig Conservatoire, where he learned his craft as a composer. He spent a few months teaching piano in Paris and then continued his studies with Vinzenz Lachner in Mannheim. Prague was eventually to become the centre for Fibich's musical activities: as his dream of a post at the Conservatoire remained unfulfilled, his main employment was giving private music lessons and as a composer Zdenek Fibich wrote works for many musical genres: vocal and chamber music, piano pieces and orchestral works, operas, stage music and melodramas, literary recitals with orchestral accompaniment to which he gave a new lease of life. There are biographical traces to be found in the 376 piano pieces of the collection 'Moods, Impressions and Reminiscences' Op. 41, written in 1892-98: this tells of his love for his pupil Anezka Schulzová in the form of a 'piano diary'. Its four volumes were frequently a source of material for other works, such as the symphonic poem 'In the Evening' Op. 39 (also known as 'A Summer's Evening' and 'At Twilight'), written in 1893. For his second subject in this 'Idyll' Fibich used the minature no. 139, entitled 'Lento', from his collection of piano pieces. The violinst Jan Kubelík played the melody from 1908 onwards with the title 'Poème', and the work is still known today under this title: its easy charm has made it a favourite tune in the classical repertoire. This arrangement is based on the orchestral version from which other material was adapted for the Prelude.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.1092789 Composed by Joseph Martin Kraus. Arranged by Artaria Editions. Classical. Score and parts. 21 pages. Artaria Editions #696895. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1092789). For string quartet Artaria Editions AE418 Edited by Bertil van Boer 21 pages This is a scholarly edition of a public domain work. The edition follows the surviving source as accurately as possible, including articulations, ornamentations and slurrings. Several obvious copyists errors such as the occasional wrong or indistinct note have been corrected tacitly, and the occasionally careless placement of slur ends has been corrected according to parallel passages. No attempt has been made to make some disparate slurrings in the separate parts coincide, given the composer's penchant in other works for individualized part writing. Dynamic markings that are missing, however, have been inserted from the other parts in order to give the work consistency.
