Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.948874 Composed by John Goss. Arranged by Ashley Qurollo. Christmas,Holiday,Sacred. Score and parts. 10 pages. Ashley Qurollo Music #6676463. Published by Ashley Qurollo Music (A0.948874). Three traditional Christmas carols (See Amid the Winter's Snow, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and Away in a Manger) written specifically for violin and viola will delight any audience. The melodies in each piece have been carefully woven with new musical motifs to create movement in each arrangement. These arrangements were written with just strings in mind and no piano, so these arrangements will work well in mobile settings where no piano is available. This Christmas collection is perfect for home, church, recitals, and even outdoor public spaces.Visit https://ashleyqurollo.com/ for more music and ideas.

Its diversity reflects the small regional and cultural spaces of Switzerland. Influences from other European countries have also shaped this kind of music since the early 19th century. Polka and Mazurka have their roots in Poland, the Scottish in Scotland. The music has been passed on by word of mouth or has been written down in musicians’ notebooks.Between 1940 and 1960, the ethnomusicologist Hanny Christen travelled through Switzerland and collected thousands of melodies from the period between 1800 and 1960. The musicians played or sang in front of her. Some permitted her to write off their own hand-written dance booklets in full. In 1956, Hanny Christen began to record this music with a tape recorder. It is thanks to her that over 12,000 instrumental dance movements of Switzerland and many other pieces of tradition (costumes, biographies, musical instruments etc.) were saved from being forgotten. The instruments used in traditional folk music vary depending on the type of dance and region. Flutes are more or less non-existent. The author would like to fill a gap with this publication. She has therefore adapted one folk dance per canton from the Hanny Christen-collection* for two flutes. The pieces from the cantons of Basel City, Thurgau and Geneva do not come from this source, though. The melodies from the other 23 cantons are taken unchanged from the collection. The second voice was not always composed quite traditional. The melody follows - if possible - a contrapuntal melody of its own and is directed to the flute (difficulty grade 3 +).The editor, Helene Schulthess, is a flutist with a wide repertoire. She lives in Switzerland. She performs as a soloist, makes chamber music and is active as a music teacher. She is involved in various musical projects (www.helene-schulthess.ch).* Swiss Folk Music Collection. The dance music of Switzerland of the 19th and first half of the 20th century. Concert Band - Digital Download SKU: AX.00-PC-0017467_M2 2nd Mallet Percussion. Composed by Randall D. Standridge. Instructional. Part. 3 pages. Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music #00-PC-0017467_M2. Published by Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music (AX.00-PC-0017467_M2). UPC: 038081519715.In recent years, Oklahoma has seen a great increase in the development of wind energy. This development in sustainable energy sources and the winds that flow across the great state serve as the inspiration for this composition. The piece begins by depicting the great open spaces that stretch for miles across the Oklahoma landscape. Small gusts of wind (represented by scalar and arpeggiated passages in the mallets and woodwinds) dance across the landscape. The piece picks up pace as the wind races across the land, turning the turbines and charging towards the future. (5:30)Concert/Contest; Festival.

Dawson, Jr. Contemporary. 10 pages. John P. Redmon Music (ASCAP)/adm. by Reaching Records #6247659. Published by John P. Redmon Music (ASCAP)/adm. by Reaching Records (A0.975466). I had no trouble (at all) making my choice for personal favorite of the ten great tunes John offers up… his rendition of Summertime is THE most mellow performance of that classic jazz tune I have ever heard… the vocals just SHIMMER, folks! (Dick Metcalf, Contemporary Fusion Reviews)Rising Star John Redmon, Hollywood Actress/Jazz Singer Linda Purl and Music Legend Thomas Dawson Jr. team up with an arrangement of Summertime that would make even the biggest jazz critic applaud. This piano/vocal arrangement by Dawson takes this delectable Gershwin tune and turns it into a gourmet feast in which you can’t get enough. The chords are delicious! This version of Summertime would be fitting as background music, jazz bars and night clubs, theatrical spaces, concerts, and jazz festivals.Summertime appears on the album Honoring Louis Armstrong featuring Louis Armstrong Impressionist John Redmon and accompanied by The Thomas J. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.955730 Composed by Phil Thrift. Pop. Score. 8 pages. Phil Thrift #5805767. Published by Phil Thrift (A0.955730). Are you looking for a new song to celebrate someone’s birthday? If so, then Just Another Birthday Song might well be what you’re looking for. Simple melody, simple harmonies, simple ideas, not too long and at times a mildly reflective take on the birthday theme. However, the text is never too serious – it’s someone’s birthday, after all! The spaces between the lines of text in the Bridge and the Outro leave you scope for adding a solo instrument or perhaps speaking a few congratulatory words while others continue the song in the background. Indeed, measures 49-60 could even be repeated quietly to accompany a solo instrument or someone speaking. The possibilities for making this song more individual are endless! Optional harmony notes are also included for use with more than one singer. The well-known tunes will continue to feature at many birthday events, but Just Another Birthday Song gives you the chance to present a refreshing, different and flexible musical number when honoring someone’s birthday.Chord symbols are included for use with a guitar instead of or in addition to piano. Also available separately:Singalong MP3 piano accompanimentVersion for SATB choir and pianoSolo voice swing version for those who prefer a slightly jazzier birthday!
