Published by jmsgu3 (A0.548731). Very strong arrangement for Easter. Duration: 2:48. 84 ms. Score: 7 pg. Solo part 1 pg. piano part 3 pg. Morning Has Broken is a popular and well-known Christian hymn first published in 1931. It has words by English author Eleanor Farjeon and was inspired by the village of Alfriston in East Sussex, then set to a traditional Scottish Gaelic tune known as Bunessan [1] (it shares this tune with the 19th century Christmas Carol Child in the Manger[2]). It is often sung in children's services and in Funeral services.[3] English pop musician and folk singer Cat Stevens included a version on his 1971 album Teaser and the Firecat. The song became identified with Stevens due to the popularity of this recording. It reached number six on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, number one on the U.S. easy listening chartin 1972,[4] and number four on the Canadian RPM Magazine charts. The hymn originally appeared in the second edition of Songs of Praise (published in 1931), to the tune Bunessan, composed in the Scottish Islands. In Songs of Praise Discussed, the editor, Percy Dearmer, explains that as there was need for a hymn to give thanks for each day, English poet and children's author Eleanor Farjeon had been asked to make a poem to fit the lovely Scottish tune. A slight variation on the original hymn, also written by Eleanor Farjeon, can be found in the form of a poem contributed to the anthology Children's Bells, under Farjeon's new title, A Morning Song (For the First Day of Spring), published by Oxford University Press in 1957. The song is noted in 9/4 time but with a 3/4 feel. Bunessan had been found in L. McBean's Songs and Hymns of the Gael, published in 1900.[5] Before Farjeon's words, the tune was used as a Christmas carol, which began Child in the manger, Infant of Mary, translated from the Scottish Gaelic lyrics written by Mary MacDonald. The English-language Roman Catholic hymnal also uses the tune for the James Quinn hymns, Christ Be Beside Me and This Day God Gives Me, both of which were adapted from the traditional Irish hymn St. Patrick's Breastplate. Another Christian hymn, Baptized In Water, borrows the tune. -Wikipedia

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.951690 Composed by Rev. Michael J. Shea. Arranged by Travis Hayman. Contemporary. Score. 8 pages. Travis Hayman #6637935. Published by Travis Hayman (A0.951690). Victory March is the fight song for the University of Notre Dame. The Rev. Michael J. Shea, a 1905 Notre Dame graduate and organist at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, wrote the music, and his brother, John F. Shea, who earned degrees from Notre Dame in 1906 and 1908, wrote the original lyrics. At the behest of his former music teacher, Professor William C. Hammond of Mount Holyoke College, Rev. Shea would first perform the song publicly on the organ of the Second Congregational Church of Holyoke, Massachusetts, where Hammond was music director, soon after completing the composition with his brother in the winter of 1908. The song would first be performed on Notre Dame's campus on Easter Sunday, 1909, in the rotunda of the Golden Dome.

String Ensemble,String Trio - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.515737 Composed by J. R. Shannon. Arranged by Eve C. Mailly. Celtic,Holiday,Irish,Multicultural,Standards,Traditional,World. Score and parts. 8 pages. Zene Strings #4361923. Published by Zene Strings (A0.515737). Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral (That's an Irish Lullaby) was a popular Irish song from 1913, and has been sung by Bing Crosby and many other artists over the years. A favorite for St. Patrick's day or anytime time you want to enjoy a classic folk song. This arrangement begins with the cello playing the introduction, scored to sound like a tenor solo. The viola/violin 2 picks up the melody, in harmony with the first violin.  The first violin get the melody for the refrain - the most well-known part of the song. All Zene Strings trio arrangements include the middle part in alto clef (if played by viola) and in treble clef (if played by violin 2), giving you greater performance flexibility. Enjoy! Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.731815 Composed by Irish Traditional. Arranged by Thomas Quigley. Celtic,Christian,Holiday,Praise & Worship. Octavo. 6 pages. Thomas Quigley #3393837. Published by Thomas Quigley (A0.731815). The well-known traditional Irish hymn is fairly elaborately treated in this arrangement. A rich and flowing piano accompaniment enhances the singers - especially at the climax point with its densely textured chords. After the glorious fortissimo the music ends quietly on a sustained chord. This is a very suitable choice for a school or Church choir to perform at a liturgical ceremony. Singers will like the part-writing, with the melody interchanging among the voices and the congregation will find it fulfilling, inspirational and uplifting. It is possible to sing it in Church on St. Patrick's Day.
