Based on an excerpt from the Four Quartets by T.S.Eliot is polystilistic in idiom and in concertante style. Time present and time past Are both perhaps present in time future And time future contained in time past. If all time is eternally present All time is unredeemable. What might have been is an abstraction Remaining a perpetual possibility Only in a world of speculation. What might have been and what has been Point to one end, which is always present. (T.S.Eliot, Four Quartets)Τα μέÏη:I.Adagio misterioso (Outer Space, Gravity Zero)II.Allegro (Into a time vortex)III.L'istesso tempo (Escape) to Antonio Vivaldi & Dmitri ShostakovitchIV.Andante rubato (Tranquillity Nebula) to Olivier MessiaenV.Allegro (Gravitational Disorder) to Keith EmersonVI.Adagio misterioso (Eternal Present)Premier by Ionian Islands Festival Ensemble (Alexandros Michailidis, Helias Sdoukos, Stefanos Nassos) at Ionian Academy Theater in 2017.The work was chosen by International Society for the Contemporary Music to represent Greece in 2018 ISCM World New Music Days in BeijingModern Music Festival, China. String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1299106 Composed by Geraldine (Denny) Green. 21st Century,Chamber,Children,Classical. Score and Parts. 18 pages. Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic #888958. Published by Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic (A0.1299106). ALL PURCHASES COME WITH SCORE AND PARTS2009 – Sea Shanty Dance, for String Orchestra.  Duration: 4 minutes. This short piece began life as a piece of incidental music by the same title in a children’s musical, Sea Shanty For A King, for which I wrote the tunes to the songs. The Musical was the brainchild of Phil Bennett, the head mistress of Herne Hill Primary School in London, and I had the wonderful privilege of writing the music for it in the early 1990s. The show was performed four times to parents of the children of the school and was a huge success at the time.  I decided that many of the melodies could be incorporated into my concert pieces and this piece is one such example. It can be enjoyed by both professionals and students alike. It is rhythmic and tuneful, with  a Russian folk song flavour. There are two arrangements available:No. 1 – School arrangement:  for Violins 1, 2 and 3, cellos 1 and 2 No. 2 – Standard:  for Violins 1 and 2, viola, cello and Double Bass.

SummertimeArranged as a solo for Tenor Horn and Brass BandSummertime is an aria composed in 1934 by George Gershwin for the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess. The lyrics are by DuBose Heyward, the author of the novel Porgy on which the opera was based, although the song is also co-credited to Ira Gershwin by ASCAP.[1]The song soon became a popular and much recorded jazz standard, described as without doubt ... one of the finest songs the composer ever wrote ... Gershwin's highly evocative writing brilliantly mixes elements of jazz and the song styles of blacks in the southeast United States from the early twentieth century.[
